    WHAT WE DO

WETATi provides entrepreneurship education and training, Convention, idea pitch competition, leadership and creative thinking programs to low to moderate income youths and students. Most of WETATi’s participants reside in the DMV’s distressed neighborhoods. WETATi targets primarily Next Generations and college students who lack the resources to succeed in mainstream society because of economic or other disparaging barriers.

Facing the reality that the youths from marginalized communities may not enroll in colleges and those who do enroll in colleges are still at a disadvantage because of their backgrounds. This dismal actuality will make this population miss out on competitive, higher-paying job opportunities and or starting their own businesses.

    HOW WE DO IT

Changing the Narrative…Creating Your Own Opportunity

    We achieve this through:

n Our partnership programs with area schools and other institutions like:

    • University of Maryland, Nyumburu Cultural Center/Jump Start Preparation

    • Bowie State University/STEM Program • Prince George’s Community College • Prince George’s County Public Schools • DC Public Schools • Charter Schools, etc.

n Leveraging both private and public sectors such as:

    • UMCP • SA-TECH, Inc. • US Air Force • Pepsi • Old Line Bank • PNC Bank • Kaiser Permanente
