As we were preparing this report, we learned that our beloved co-founder, David Daniels, MD, had died. David’s goal was simple: To bring the Enneagram to the world. And he did. David had the foresight in 1988 to encourage and join with Helen Palmer to launch the world’s first professional training program for aspiring Enneagram teachers. He modeled the requisite skills and set high standards for us all. His vision of an organization to hold and disseminate the work has led ESNT to the vibrant and growing institution we are today.

“The only constant is change” speaks volumes about how ESNT has evolved over the last fiscal year. What started out as a bright idea and blueprint six years ago has been built with a firm foundation, now housing the treasured belongings of the Enneagram in the Narrative Tradition.

The patient and gifted leadership of Paul Strasburg, our former President, produced a board of directors with unparalleled dedication, skill and commitment to the great work that Enneagram study and practice invites. He leaves the board with a compelling mandate to continue to shape a sturdy and sustainable organization.

Our first Executive Director, Mary Jo Ruccio, retired in May 2016 knowing she was responsible for creating the frame of our home and the building blocks of our future. ESNT is forever in her debt.

We welcomed our new ED, Mary Freund, who has had a keen eye on honing our structure and process, and brought definition and clarity to the way we work to serve our current and future participants. Under her leadership, we opened a new office in Boulder, CO.

Also in May 2016, our co-founder, David Daniels, became Core Faculty Emeritus due to health concerns. He passed away on May 26, 2017. The Enneagram Community reverberates with sadness, along with deep gratitude for David’s teaching and the profound impact he has had on so many people around the world. Honoring David’s lifelong commitment to bring the Enneagram in the Narrative Tradition to ever-widening circles of people and communities, through outreach and innovation, ESNT is establishing the David Daniels Legacy Fund.

Our Core Faculty members – Helen Palmer, Terry Saracino, Peter O’Hanrahan and Renée Rosario – collectively taught 672 students attending Enneagram Narrative programs during 2016. Another Core Faculty member, Marion Gilbert, took a leave of absence from teaching.

Delightfully, along with all these noteworthy changes, we experienced another successful fundraising campaign! Our donors and supporters are living proof of the hope our work inspires through our mission to transform the world, one person at a time. We look forward to continuing to educate, grow with and serve you in the years to come.

In gratitude,

How to Support Us

We rely on individuals like you, businesses, and a sustaining grant to support our mandate to continue to shape a sturdy and sustainable organization.

Our 2017 fundraising goal: $95,000

There are a variety of ways to support ESNT. A contribution may start as small as a $10 one-time or monthly donation, or you can give stock, transfer your airline miles, or shop at AmazonSmile. Please consider contributing today and learn more about the various ways to gift us at www.EnneagramWorldwide.com/donate/. Or send a check payable to “ESNT” to Executive Director Mary Freund at 1942 Broadway, Suite 218, Boulder, CO 80302.

Beyond a financial donation, there are several other direct ways to support us. You or your organization can:• Participate in our trainings and workshops.

Our Enneagram Narrative Curriculum’s rich, integrated structure makes it easy to find just the right programs for you. The heart of the curriculum is the Enneagram Narrative Core Program, free-standing and complete in itself for your own personal development, or the starting point if you want to become proficient as an Enneagram Narrative Teacher or apply the Enneagram Narrative in your professional work.

• Refer colleagues, clients, friends and family to our programs. Most of our participants come from direct one-to-one referrals.

• Bring an Enneagram Narrative program to your community. The ESNT Collaboration Initiative makes our teachings more accessible to people throughout the U.S. and Canada by partnering with Certified Teachers and other Enneagram enthusiasts to bring Enneagram Narrative Weekends to their local area. For more information, please contact Executive Director Mary Freund at [email protected] or call 866-241-6162, ext. 711.
