• Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) are wireless networks
• Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) is the subset or special case of MANET
• No any fixed infrastructure is required
• Nodes are vehicles with high mobility
• Routing is done on the basis of routing protocols
