  • DOUBLE MAJORS

    Will receive two Bachelors Degrees at graduation.

    Usually requires at least one full additional year of study. Extra time can be reduced by choosing a 2nd major with

    a lot of overlap (ex. Mathematics, Physics, M.E., etc.).

    Double Major vs. M.S.????

    Primary & Secondary Advisor

  • Minors

    Can strengthen your preparation in an area related to your major field of study.

    Can be used to gain breadth in a completely unrelated area.

    Most only 15 credits or 5 classes (3 stand-alone)

    Follow your passion!!!

  • Certificates

    Can add credentials to an area related to your major field of study.

    Similar to a minor, but slightly more intense.

    Most require roughly 21 credits (9 stand-alone).

  • Minor in Astrophysics &

    Astronomy:

    Astro 120, 150, or 250. Astro 342 (Technical Elective) Astro 346 Astro 344L AerE 351 (AerE Core Course)

  • Minor in Mathematics:

    15 credits

  • Minor in Non-destructive

    Evaluation:

    (example):

    Includes: AER E 451 (Tech Elective), MUSIC 102 (I Gen Ed), MUSIC 304 (D Gen Ed), etc.

  • Minor in Nuclear Engineering:

    15 credits

    Nuc E 401 (required)

    Four of the following:

    Nuc E 402, 405, 410, 411, 441, 461, or 490 (Ind. Study)

    Any two courses above can count as technical electives.

  • Minor in Military Science:

    15 credits

    For non-ROTC students.

    At least 6 credits (two classes) must be 300+ level.

    Coursework can come from a combo of any of the three ROTC programs.

  • Minor in General Business:
