Tabinda came from St. Joseph Convent. From the early days at Dow she created animpression about herself. Complexion, facial appearance, apparel and attire, alladded multiple dimensions to her personality.

It was simply the charisma linked to her that “elements” who noticed her presenceand wanted to appreciate always did so in an extremely becoming way. You heardcertain verses of the national anthem which carried her name. What a positive wayto acknowledge!

Tabinda had a selectively limited circle but everybody knows that she was a plain-speaking person. Her batch mates were Naheed Elahi, Samina Matin, AzraZardari, Khalida, Bilquis Patel, Shuja, Shabbir Safawi, Ahmed and Hussain Mehdi,though she was seen most of the time with Talat.

After graduation and then completing her house job in Surgery and Medicine shemoved to the US. She cleared her qualifying exams and settled in Chicago as aPathologist.

Her husband Zafar is an Engineer in Illinois and her only son Tariq is anoutstanding Medical student studying in Illinois.

Tabinda is involved in numerous community activities, however in silence andwithout fan fair. She is an ardent reader of poetry and literature both in English andUrdu. Every time she visits Karachi she goes back with a suitcase full of books.

She is extremely confident. This was indeed instilled by her very illustrious,Intellectual and literary father, who was a very distinguished Banker hailing fromKairana (UP). Tabinda is an extremely caring, affectionate and considerate person, which isevident from the way she took care of her in-laws and her having madeinnumerable visits to Karachi just to be with her parents over these years. As oftoday she hardly reflects any age factor. She looks agile, alert and immaculate inevery respect. If you visit her house you realize that she is a great connoisseur ofsplendor and beauty.

Dearest Tabinda:ASAAlways good to hear about you. I don't believe there was anybody so beautiful as you in our class, mashallah, that is from 7th class onwards. Sure enough the personality is more beautiful than looks, that is why it attracts so much. And I am talking about 40 years; though ironically it seems like yesterday. Yesterday Naushaba and her husband visited us from Maryland, I was so happy to see her. Mashallah, she looked good; both her children are married. Son is with her mashallah and the daughter close by. Mummy was so happy to see her. We talked for hours about old times and old friends. She said she met Kulsoom and Zehra on facebook. Both of them asked about everyone. Hospital has closed all these sites, and by the time I reach home I am so tired to open facebook.Umramubarak. May Allah(SWT) Accept it. Lots of duas.Best wishes,Shadab
