ASSESSEMENT POLICY FOR STD I-V
SESSION - 2017-18 The assessment criteria and the promotion to the next class will be as per the following
guidelines. In Scholastic area 33% is essential in all the major five subjects i.e. English, Hindi,
Maths, General Science, EVS and Social Studies The child should secure at least the grade “C” in all the Co scholastic areas. The attendance should be at least 75% during the session.
The session is divided into two terms I TERM – 7th April to 30th September 2017 II TERM – 1st October to 22 March 2018

The Periodic Assessment will be of 20 Marks.These 20 marks will be converted to 10 Marks + 5
Marks for notebook submission and 5 marks for Subject Enrichment Activity .
Term Examinations will be conducted at the end of each term in which the question paper of 80
Marks will be prepared for the duration of 2 and a half hours for all the subjects namely English,
Hindi, Math, E.V.S, General Science and Social Studies. The syllabus of complete term in the
above mentioned subjects will be assessed in the 1 Term but for the II Term the syllabus will be : The entire syllabus of II Term + 10% syllabus of Term 1
Internal Examination of 50 marks for 1 hour will be for General Knowledge and Value
Education will also be conducted and will be converted to 100 Marks. Computer: 50 Marks of theory and 50 Marks of Practical for the duration of 1 hour each will be
conducted. In each term :Continuous Assessment of the Co-scholastic area will be done once in each term on
the basis of 3- point (A-C) grading scale. Co-Scholastics Area: Work Education, Art Education (Visual and Performing Arts), Health
& Physical Education(Swimming/Horse Riding) and Discipline comprising (Attendance ,
Values, Tidiness, Regularity and Behavior)
