Becoming a Member

Taking Refuge in the Three JewelsThose who wish to devote themselves deeply

may take refuge in the Three Jewels, Buddha

(Master Okawa), Dharma (the Truth), and

Sangha (Happy Science), and become a

devoted disciple. It is to make a resolution

to not only improve oneself but to also help

others attain happiness and enlightenment.

Meditation seminars, videolectures, workshops and studygroups are held regularly atlocal temples around the world.

In the small ceremony for becominga member you will be asked, "Do you

believe in the Lord?"

Our LORD is El Cantare, the Eternal Buddha, who

is the core consciousness of Master Okawa. He is

the existence that has given us life and guides us to

better ourselves. El Cantare wishes to integrate all

religions of the world, to eliminate all conicts and

unite the world. Believing in Him and wishing to

learn more of His teachings is the rst step to being

member.

Faith is what makes you humble and what

underlies our eternal progress. Faith does not have

to be complete from the beginning. Actually it can

never be perfect as faith is something you deepen by

learning more about the invisible world.

Many people of different backgrounds,

whether Christian, Buddhist, Hindu,

or Muslim are studying these universal

teachings together as members.

The Dharma of the Right MindFor rst time members

Those who join as a member will receive this sutra for

a small offering.

Members share the teachingswith the community hopingthat a word of Truth will bringhappiness to each person.

Devoted disciples will receive three sutras. Reciting these sutras daily will

help members rene their minds.
