Overview CA Institute’s English Camps for kids are great for the youngest kids and even for teens. The English camp is for children aged 3 and up. It runs from 8:30am – 12:30pm with an option to stay the full day. The theme is to produce a Hollywood film. The kids work on a script, act it out on film in locations around Brno and show it to their parents and adults on Friday in the movie theater at our school! The kids receive a DVD of their film, a certificate of completion, and Oscar Award.

Goals To raise the awareness of English among kids in a fun and entertaining way.

Prerequisites None.

Topic Outline / Schedule

n Day 1

Icebreakers. Introduction. Hello! What's your name? Getting to know each other. Decide on movie theme. Designate characters and start working on the script. English activities around Disney. Watch movie.

n Day 2

Continue working on the script and memorizing lines. Costume design and preparation. Sing songs and learn more about individual characters. Watch movie.

n Day 3

Film day 1. Go to the zoo or Jungle Park. In class activities and a movie.

n Lesson 4

Film day 2. Outdoor activity. Final touches with the movie.

n Day 5

Prepare the school for a Hollywood Premier with red carpet and all! Prepare for Oscar Award ceremony. 4PM Showing!

Notes:

We provide kids with snack and refreshments, but kids need to bring their own lunches. Trips to the zoo and Jungle Park are not included in the price.
