ENGLISH BREAKFAST IN SINGAPORE: PLACES TO GET FRY-UPS(THAT’S SAUSAGES, BACON, EGGS AND BEANS TO MOST OF US!)
By DINESH AJITH save article share
Brekkie is the most important meal of the day, so why not go all-out like the Brits and stuff yourselves
with fried greatness at these cafes in the city?
Big breakfast, a fry-up, the Full Works, the Full Monty – call it whatever you like, the English breakfast
never disappoints. A solid choice for brunch in Singapore
(http://thehoneycombers.com/singapore/top-10-brunches-in-singapore/), it’s made up of delightful
comfort food oerings like sausages, toast, tomatoes, beans, and bacon. Ahead, you’ll nd heaps of
great dining spots (http://thehoneycombers.com/singapore/eat-drink/hot-new-tables/) that serve the
meal for champs at various price points. Sleeping in is for the weak!
Symmetry
Symmetry is – hands down – one of our favourite spots for English breakfast. Portions are huge here
(good luck trying to nish the Big Breakfast all by yourself), so it’s no surprise that we never leave this
cosy eatery hungry. Keep in mind that the hearty big breakfast is only available as a weekend brunch

Quirky café-by-day, bar-by-night; right across the street from us is Free The Robot. On slow days, we
like to pop by for breakfast to tuck into the massive breakfast platter with all the comfort food

The White Rabbit Fry Up (via Facebook)
The White Rabbit
A go-to romantic ‘date night’ restaurant, this stunning establishment is housed in a conserved chapel,

Up, which oers two eggs done any style, served with bacon, hashbrowns, two eggs and sausages.

Food for Thought
Here, you can choose between the Basic Works (eggs, bacon, bread), House Works (Basic Works, plus
hashbrowns and cherry tomato salad), and the Full Works (garlic mushrooms… mmm). Of course, we
say go all out and get the Full Works. If you’re getting stued in the Singapore Botanic Gardens
outlet, take a stroll in nature after to walk o the guilt!

Arbite
Arbite’s been around for quite some time now, so they must be doing something right! It’s easy to get
distracted by the other interesting choices on the menu (liu sha French toast, anyone?), but the
Arbite full English breakfast will always have our vote.
