by 83% over 3 years
• WFP: 100 million people short of food

Objectives
• Identify, multiply and distribute improved varieties
• Validate and promote sustainable soil fertility management
• Identify and promote efficient post harvest utilization technologies
• Strengthen market information system and linkages

• On-farm yield/ha increased by 50%
• New production skills accessed and used by at least 1m farmers
• Sustainable soil fertility management practices popularised
• Best-fit, multi-purpose processing equipment for gari, chips, flour
etc. identified and promoted
• 500 pilot processing centres established
• 500,000 rural processors trained and linked to markets
• At least 4 million jobs (youths and women) created
