The Engineering Dual Degree allows
students to complete two degrees simultaneously. Students will earn a
Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physics from Edgewood College, as well
as an accredited Bachelor’s degree in either Electrical or
Mechanical Engineering at UW-Platteville.
In the new program, students take foundational
courses in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, and required general
education courses at Edgewood College. After three years, students will
transfer to UW-Platteville to study either Electrical or Mechanical
Engineering.
Edgewood College recently opened a Fabrication
Laboratory that provides a space on campus for students to design and
fabricate objects using 3D printers, a 50-Watt laser cutter, a CNC
machine, and other devices. Students can use the lab for both
independent projects and course assignments. The Fabrication
Laboratory is an excellent new resource for pre-engineering students to
learn principles of engineering and design before they enter the
engineering program at UW-Platteville.
