Consulting Services for the Design, Procurement and Supervision of Implementing the Project Ho Chi Minh City Metro Line 2.

Metro Line 2 is one of six planned lines of the MRT network to be implemented by the Management Authority for Urban Railways of Ho Chi Minh City (MAUR). The line starts at the northern limits of Ben Thanh Station which will be designed and constructed under a separate contract. The route comprises 9.315 km of underground section, including 10 underground stations, and 0.778 km of elevated track, including 1 elevated station. In addition there is a spur connection of 0.997 km to the proposed depot at Tham Luong In future it is planned that Line 2 will be extended northwards to An Suong, and southwards beneath the Saigon River to Thu Thiem.

Urbantransport systemsIn order to meet future needs and to avoid such problems as traffi c jams, additional traffi c generated by the search for parking spaces, as well as noise and air pollution, many large cities today promote the use of underground and rapid transit systems. On account of the generally limited space available, such systems frequently require sophisticated engineering structures (tunnels, bridges, etc.). Not least due to the complex permit application procedures and the many different disciplines, the demands on interdisciplinary project management are very high. In order to be able perform the engineering services required for the realisation of such projects in a professional manner, ILF draws upon its pool of qualifi ed employees who have many years of experience in construction projects at home and abroad. Thus YASCE and the ILF Group is able to provide all engineering services needed for civil works, electromechanical equipment and rail systems.

Design and consulting services for the construction of offi ce buildings and hotels for an urban development scheme in Vienna’s 3rd district.

A gross floor area of approx. 130,000 m ² will accommodate a multi-purpose offi ce project to be completed by 2008: flats, offi ces, shops, hotels and recreational facilities in some 19 buildings of different shape and height, arranged around a central plaza. A particularity is that the entire area of 31,000 m ² sits on top of the U3 underground line.

The new Town Town business district is situated on the City-Airport axis, in a location which has a very high development potential. Optimum infrastructure is also ensured by the area’s location at a transit hub (public and private transport). Of special attraction for prospective buyers and tenants is that individual needs, requirements, etc. constitute the basis of the design and implementation of the project, true to the motto “Design your own Company Building”.

RailwaysThe growing need for mobility and the evident limits of growth, with the resulting call for environmental protection and conservation of natural resources, bring railway transport back into focus.

The attractiveness of railway transport can only be increased by implementing a wide range of measures aimed at creating and maintaining a modern rail infra-structure. While the construction of high-speed railway lines is geared towards passenger transport, the upgrade and rehabilitation of existing standard and narrow gauge lines is aimed at both passenger and freight transport.

Being a competent designer, ILF has contributed sig-nifi cantly to the implementation of numerous projects in many different countries. ILF provides engineering services both for the civil works and the rail systems. This enables ILF to render one-stop shop engineering services for all disciplines involved in railway engineering.
