Supply Unit

TJ8300 / TJ8500General Description (Cont.)

The supply unit includes two modular Lambda power supplies:

The first Lambda power supply produces 2 X 24 VDC voltage, which are connected in serial. The result is 48 VDC, which is supplied to the inkjet drivers. Its maximum output power is 1000 W.

The second Lambda power supply generates 5 VDC, 12 VDC and 24 VDC. Its maximum output power is 1000 W.

S1 switch – main power input to thesupply unit.

S2 switch (Control power ) – powers up or down all the control voltages in the machine.

S3 switch (Data power) - powers up or down all data voltages in the machine (5VDC QLM,12VDC and 48VDC).

S4 switch (Bridge heat) - powers up or down the 35VAC for the bridge heating.

TJ8300 / TJ8500Operation and Controls

The 48VDC operation for IJ drivers is controlled from the software and can be switched on and off from the I/O.

Protection for the IJ Drivers – if the 12VDC is not enabled to the IJ Drivers; the 48VDC can not be applied.

There is a feedback for the 48VDC voltage of the IJ drivers from the supply unit to the computer (for diagnostics purposes).

TJ8300 / TJ8500Operation and Controls (Cont.)

Voltages for motion drivers are controlled from the I/O –checking the I/O outputs enables voltage to the motiondrivers (similar to AC Control of the PJ).

Drum Over speed protection – receives a relay dry contact from the MCDU, which delivers the voltage to the drum driver. If there is too much speed, the absence of the dry contact relay from the MCDU to the Supply unit will shut down the voltage to the drum driver.

K1 – Controls relay for IJ drivers.

K2 – Controls relay for data.

K3 – 12VDC Indicator for IJ drivers (protection for IJ drivers – if K3 relay is not enabled, K1 relay, which enables 48VDC for IJ drivers, can not be applied).

K4 – 75VAC, 24VAC Relay for motion drivers(Drum driver and MCDU)

K5, K6 ,K7 – Hold, Off and On control. Enables 24VDC for I/O and CCB systems. Operation of the On or Off relays is enabled from the I/O digital outputs. If On is deselected from I/O digital outputs the Hold relay is automatically enabled.

K8 – Controls relay for CCB and I/O system.
