Within -Blended learning!
I passed the course but came away with serious reservations about learning online. My biggest disappointment was with the tutor who was “not around” enough to facilitate learning effectively. A lack of response and timely response was cause for frustration. I agree that the facilitation role of the tutor in whatever mode is important in using the tools and available resources carefully to develop and maintain active and collaborative learning; in online learning this is critical during the online component (Heinzeand Proctor, 2004).
All principals were asked what impact digital technologies were having on raising student achievement in their schools. Approximately one-third reported that digital technologies were having quite a significant impact on raising student achievement in their school, while 45 percent of principals said it was having a moderate impact. Fifteen percent, however, did not know, while nine percent of principals felt it was having very little impact.
Secondary School engaged in Blended Learning Tamaki College is a decile 1a multi-cultural high school with approximately 550
students in Glen Innes, Auckland. 95% Maori and Pacific The Manaiakalani set up in 2014 to raise the number of students achieving
NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3 and to improve on the quality of the results ie more merit and excellence endorsements. Accelerated student achievement outcomes are evidenced by an extensive research base.
Oldest state housing area in Akld The Ministry of Education target is 85% pass rate in NCEA Level 2, and in 2013
Tamaki College achieved an 80% pass rate. To make digital citizens of our learners and their whanau, we enable them to
access their learning anywhere, anytime and at any pace. We do this by supporting parents to buy a personal digital device for each learner and providing wireless internet access at home and school and by supporting Manaiakalani teachers in their continuing pedagogical innovation.
The 13,000 students from 146 schools are sitting an exam for e-MCAT (Electronic Mathematics Common Assessment Task), with results counting towards NCEA Level 1:
Research – Engaging students through on line and blended learning –Limited research on Pacific
Students benefit from the attention of both face to face and online educators who carefully track their progress and provide the real time guidance they need to succeed.
Students in blended learning environments achieve at higher levels than students either in fully online or purely face to face learning situations.

Orientation is understood – Terminology –Turn it in- wiki-BBC- navigating
