REGISTER
Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. You can register online or by phone.
ONLINE: You can register online at enform.ca. If you haven’t done so already, please set up an account by clicking on the login button on the homepage. This will provide the instructions for setting up your account.
Once your username and password are set up, you can add courses to your cart and pay with your credit card. Confirmation of your registration will be emailed to you.
BY PHONE: You can also register by calling 1.800.667.5557. One of our customer service representatives will be happy to help. A credit card will be taken over the phone to reserve your spot.
BEFORE THE COURSE
Remember to bring government issued photo identification to your course as it is required for admission. Some courses may also require safety equipment, calculators or other materials. Please review the notes and equipment listing for each course to ensure you have everything you need.

CANCELLATION
Cancellations received by phone or in writing a minimum of five business days before the course start date will be fully refunded. Cancellations received less than five days before the class start date are eligible for a 50 per cent refund. Where no written notice is received before the class start date no refund will be granted. Additionally, the full cancellation policy can be found at enform.ca.
CERTIFICATES
Certificates are issued upon course completion. Only one certificate per course is valid.
Your wallet certificate will be mailed to the address supplied at the time of registration or on the student data sheet submitted. It can take a few weeks to receive a ticket due to processing and mailing time, however copies of Records of Training can be obtained sooner, if needed.
Please note that some courses provide 90 day temporary certificates. If you have not received your permanent certificate prior to the end of the 90 days contact Enrolment Services at [email protected] or toll free at 1.800.667.5557.
REPLACEMENT CERTIFICATES AND RECORD OF TRAINING
Replacement certificates can be ordered online by logging into your Enform account at enform.ca or by calling customer service at 1.800.667.5557. A Record of Training is also available online. The Record of Training can be provided to an employer as proof of certification.

BURIED FACILITIES LOCATOR – BASIC

This course is an introduction to locating buried facilities. Learn about locating buried facilities and the principles of safe work practices.

Entry-level workers and experienced locators in the oil and gas industry.

BURIED FACILITIES LOCATOR – SEISMIC
Duration: 2 Days Cost: Contract Course (See Delivery) Expiry: 3 years
Participants will learn how to prevent damage to buried facilities through safe and effective planning of locates and the identification and marking of buried facilities. The hands on training will emphasize the correct use of locating equipment and proper marking and documentation of locates in the seismic industry.

Locators working in the seismic industry.
PREREQUISITES
» A minimum of 60 days field experience working with an experienced locator in the seismic industry
» Successful completion of the Buried Facilities Locator – Basic

CAODC SERVICE RIG ASSESSORS
Duration: 1 Day Cost: $185 Expiry: None
Learn how to become an assessor and gain an understanding of the guidelines for completing a competency assessment for a Floorhand, Derrickhand or Driller.
DESIGNED FOR
Field Superintendents and Rig Managers in the well servicing division of the Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors (CAODC).
PREREQUISITES
The CAODC Service Rig Assessors Committee has set the following requirements for becoming an assessor:

Learn how to work with a cathodic protection rectifier through hands-on training. Completion of this course is required to achieve a Level One certificate through Alberta Apprenticeship and industry Training (AAIT).

CERTIFIED HEALTH AND SAFETY AUDITOR PROGRAM
Duration: 5 Days Cost: $1030 Expiry: 3 Years
This program consists of a five-day training course, followed by a practicum that includes a full health and safety audit. The Enform Audit Instrument is reviewed in detail throughout the program.
DESIGNED FOR
Health and safety professionals with management/supervisory experience who wish to conduct safety management system audits.
PREREQUISITES
» An approved application to become either an Internal or External Enform Auditor
» Completion of Enform’s Safety Program Development course or fulfillment of the educational requirements of an External Auditor candidate, available at enform.ca
APPLICATION PROCESS
Participants must apply for one of the two auditor streams, Internal or External Auditor, as explained on the Certified Health and Safety Auditor Application Process page:
» Internal (maintenance) auditors are able to perform internal audits for the single company at which they are employed full-time.
» External auditors are able to perform Certification audits, Renewal audits, and Maintenance audits for any company.

CERTIFIED HEALTH AND SAFETY AUDITOR PROGRAM – RENEWAL
Duration: 1 Day Cost: $250 Expiry: 3 Years
DESIGNED FOR
Enform Certified Health and Safety Auditors wishing to maintain their auditor certification or learn about updates to the audit process are required to successfully complete this program prior to the expiry of their certification.
PREREQUISITES
» A current Enform Certified Health and Safety Auditor Certificate » Note: If your certificate has expired, the standard allows
up to six months from the expiry to complete the renewal program. The standard does not allow any new audit registrations until recertification is complete.
» Maintenance of your auditor certification by having performed two audits or maintenance audit options in the previous three year certification cycle
» Note: If this requirement has not been met, the auditor will be required to conduct and submit a regular Certificate of Recognition (COR) audit within six months of the renewal program before recertification can be granted.

• Develop and improve auditor skills in capturing field notes in order to justify allocation of audit points

CHAINSAW FALLER COMPETENCY PROGRAM
The oil and gas industry adopted the B.C. Faller Training Standard as the standard level of training for workers falling trees over six inches in diameter. Endorsed by WorkSafeBC, this training program progresses in a graduated manner with on-the-job work experience required between each level. The majority of the time (75%) is spent in the field practicing skills.

CHAINSAW FALLER COMPETENCY PROGRAM LEVEL 1 – CHAINSAW BASICS
Duration: 3 Days Cost: Contract Course (See Delivery) Expiry: 3 Years
Learn the basics of chainsaw handling and operations and gain an understanding of personal and work site safety.
DESIGNED FOR
Participants of the Chainsaw Faller Competency Program. This is the first level required in the steps to become a certified faller.
TOPICS INCLUDE
• Hazard assessment and control• Chainsaw inspection and maintenance• Chainsaw handling and operations• Safe limbing and bucking practices
DELIVERY
Courses are delivered by Qualified Supervisor Trainers (QSTs). As there are no set session dates for this course, the schedule will be determined by the QST you complete the course with. A list of QST’s in your area can be found at enform.ca.

COMPLETION
Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a Chainsaw Competency Record Logbook and a wallet certificate that is valid for three years.
After successful completion of this course, participants are qualified to find work as a bucker (maximum six inches in diameter at breast height (DBH) trees.

If your certification is still valid, you can contact a certified instructor to do a one-day challenge of the course to renew your certificate.

COMPLETION
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a Chainsaw Competency Record Logbook and a wallet certificate that is valid for five years.
Successful participants will be qualified to find work as a bucker (maximum six inches in diameter at breast height (DBH) trees. If supervised by a Certified Faller Tutor, they are qualified to fall trees over six inches in DBH.

Students who successfully complete Rig Tech 2 (which includes the First Line Supervisor’s Blowout Prevention theory) are eligible to challenge the exam within 90 days of completion and verification.
If you fail the exam following the course or when taking a challenge exam, you are allowed one rewrite within a 30 day period. Rewrite fees apply. If at any time the exam is failed twice, you will be required to retake the full four-day program.
CERTIFICATE RENEWAL
If you hold a valid certificate, you may take this course up to three months in advance of the expiration of your certificate. Then, upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion that is valid for three years from the expiry of your old certificate.
The examination may be challenged every second renewal, provided your current certification has not expired.

Learn how to safely operate gas processing equipment and gain an understanding of gas field handling and processing, including the duties and responsibilities of a gas field operator. This course has been developed in conjunction with the Canadian Association of Geophysical Contractors (CAGC) and government representatives from Western Canada to provide a minimum industry training standard for blasting in seismic exploration.

» You must be at least 18 years of age » You must present government issued photo identification (i.e.,

DESIGNED FOR
Rig personnel requiring a general knowledge of the safe operation of an oilfield boiler with a capacity of up to 1,000 kw, and for participants wanting to write the Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA) Special Oilwell Operator exam.
PREREQUISITES
To qualify for the examination, participants must meet the following ABSA criteria:
» Six months’ experience in an installation that involves a boiler or boilers operating as part of a transportable power plant at a drilling or hydrocarbon production site, OR;
» This Enform course is a preparatory program for individuals challenging the ABSA examination
APPLICATION PROCESS
» An application form is available at enform.ca. Your application must be approved prior to registering for this course.
» Participants are required to fill out the ABSA application form and submit it to Enform by email to [email protected] at least 21 days prior to the Special Oilfield Boilers program
» Once Enform approves your application, we will submit it to ABSA on your behalf. The completed application form must be approved by ABSA in order to write the examination at the end of this course.

WELLHEAD BOOM TRUCK OPERATOR

» British Columbia – Enform’s Wellhead Boom Truck Operator training certificate is endorsed by WorkSafeBC for wellhead operations in British Columbia; however, operators must register with the British Columbia Association of Crane Safety (BCACS) before they can work in British Columbia. APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING PROGRAM
Candidates who reside in Alberta wishing to pursue an apprenticeship for this craft must first submit a completed Apprenticeship Application Form to Alberta Advanced Education for approval. Application forms are available from any Alberta Advanced Education Career Development Centre or at tradesecrets.alberta.ca.
Upon acceptance as a Registered Apprentice, the candidate may register for this course and examination. Additional information on Wellhead Boom Truck Operator certification is available at the Alberta Advanced Education web site at tradesecrets.alberta.ca.
Upon successful completion of this course, practical skills assessment and an Alberta Learning written examination, candidates will receive an Enform training certificate. Upon successful completion of all apprenticeship requirements (one 12-month period including a minimum of 100 hours on-the-job training), the candidate must apply to Alberta Advanced Education to receive an Alberta Wellhead Boom Truck Operator Journeyman Certificate from Alberta Advanced Education.
QUALIFICATION CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
To enrol in the Qualification Certificate Program, you must:
» Have at least 150 hours and 18 months of hands-on work experience as a wellhead boom truck operator. (Time spent on supervisory or foreman duties, counter work, heading the tool crib, or at training courses is NOT credited as hands-on work experience.)
» Complete the Qualification Certificate Program Application located at tradesecrets.alberta.ca and submit it to an Apprenticeship and Industry Training Office.
There are two options:
Option #1:
Pay the required fees as identified on the application noted above. This application fee covers the verification and assessment of the applicant’s work experience hours/months as well as one attempt at the Qualification Certificate theory examination, which is scheduled by Alberta Advanced Education. The Qualification Certificate practical examination requires a separate fee as identified on the application noted above and is also scheduled by Alberta Advanced Education.
Option #2:
Pay the required fees as identified on the application noted above. This application fee covers the verification and assessment of the applicant’s work experience hours/months as well as one attempt at the Qualification Certificate theory examination. Register for an Enform Wellhead Boom Truck Operator course, which includes the written examination. (Note: This must be coordinated through Alberta Industry Training prior to registering for the Enform course.)
