• Lots of new technologies to have standards developed.

• Development of Smart Grid Protocols, Standards and integration strategies.

• Standards for bringing change of use of technologies, such as, common connectors for small appliances, which will probably mean less chargers left on, common electric car plugs and battery packs.

• Standards for measuring and demonstrating performance and conformity rules.
