End of Year Report (2017 2018) YOGA SESSION - 26 Jan 2018 “HEALTH IS THE HIGHEST GAIN IN LIFE” Date: 26 Jan 2018 Time: 7:45 to 8:45am Venue: Quadrangle, Energy House, Bidholi Campus Participants: 90 approximately Convener- Dr. D K Gupta and AAPG Student Chapter Yoga session was organized on 26 January 2018 in Energy House Quadrangle. The session received a warm response. Around 90 has participated & enjoyed the session. As a healthy tradition, the session was organized as a part of spreading awareness about the importance of health and how yoga encompasses all form of wellbeing; physical, mental and spiritual. Dr. Dharmendra. Kumar Gupta, Professor & Head (Department of Petroleum Engineering & Earth Sciences) took lead to organize the event this time as part of healthy tradition being nurtured in the University.

Yoga session was organized on 26 January 2018 in Energy House Quadrangle. The session

received a warm response. Around 90 has participated & enjoyed the session.

As a healthy tradition, the session was organized as a part of spreading awareness about the

Ujjayi Pranayam

(8:20am - 8:25am)

Do a deep inhalation slowly using

both nostrils. Try making a “hissing” sound while inhaling.

Extremely effective in thyroid

problems and weight loss.

Bhramari and

Udgeeth Pranayam (8:25am - 8:35 am)

Inhale deep and while exhaling chant “OOoouuuuummmmm” for a long

time as much as you can.

It calms the mind and brings stability. It relieves tension, anger and anxiety.

Closing ceremony

(8:35am - 8:45am)

Followed with lion roaring and

Laughing Together.

Strengthen the immune system also

helps to heal a variety of illness like

hypertension and diabetes.

4th INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY - 2018

Date: 21 June 2018

Time: 6:30 am to 7:15 am

Participants: 83

Venue: Knowledge Acre, Kandoli Campus

“Yoga is the journey of the Self, through the self, to the self. - The Bhagvad Gita”

International Yoga Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in UPES in Kandoli

Campus today.

83 Faculty and Staff of UPES and students of project Abhilasha participated in the event.

The event convener Mr. Anant Prakash Mishra welcomed all the participants and shared his

opinion on benefits of yoga. He also shared the schedule of event with all the participants

following the yoga protocol.

The Event Instructor Mr. Amit Kumar who is himself a Yoga practitioner since his childhood

started the event with warm-up session followed by all the asanas and pranayam. He described

benefits of each asanas as well.

Following best performing students were awarded with mementoes in Girls and Boys section:-

The event was organized by Department of Student Development and Support very well

coordinated by Mr. Anant Prakash Mishra supported by Ms Rashmi Lall, Dr Monika Manglik, Mr.

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies established the Club to inculcate a balanced

approach towards a value based living through a simple technique of Heartfulness Meditation.

Students are advised to meditate regularly for peaceful and stress-free life and motivated

Weekly Meditation

Kandoli and Bidholi Campus 27 Sep 2018

Report on Weekly Meditation

Heartfulness Science and Spirituality Club feels pleasure to share that Weekly meditation session

for the meditation Session at UPES Bidholi Campus has been a success.

Many Faculties and Students showed enthusiasm towards the session and turned up in a good

number. There was a presentation to brief the new people about club and the meditation practice.

It was followed by the meditation and relaxation session.
