Passion 2012 - January 2-5, 2012Ages 18-25 welcome! Two-three tickets areavailable for high school seniors as well. Cost is$250 ($100 to sign up). The cost includes trans-portation, hotel, conference ticket, and a few meals.

One pastor was asked the size of his congregation. He replied, A mile wide but only one inch deep. That doesnt describe us here at Eastmont, butwe must never stop growing and improving spiri-tually. An immature church is easy pickins forthe devil.

A young wife gave birth to her first child. With the labor pains ending, she asked the nurse,Is the hard part over? The nurse replied, Honey, thats the easy part. The hardest part is the next 18years. It is relatively easily to be born into Godsfamily. Growing and nurturing takes more effort.

The simplest prescription I know for spiri-tual growth has to do with time. You ought to trythis. Every Christian needs to regularly spend.

    1. Time with God (Bible study, prayer)2. Time with Gods people (fellowship, worship)

    3. Time in ministry to others (serving, witness-ing)

Remember the old hymn that went like thisMore like the Master I would ever be. One boywas confused. He sang, More like the pastor Iwould ever be. Our goal is to be like Christ notother people.

Last Sunday was a blessing! Our SeniorAdults delighted the folks at Tallassee. Our Trunkor Treat was another success. We had over 900 inSunday School, and our Childrens Choir blessed

us in worship. The blessings here are so regular Isometimes forget what a strong church God hasgiven us.

    Ill see you Sunday,
