Enactus teams teach families how to gain financial security, equip the unemployed with skills to find productive employment, help aspiring entrepreneurs achieve success, and bring economic development back to struggling neighborhoods . Along the way you’ll develop the kind of teamwork, leadership and communication skills that can only come from real lifeexperiences .

Start a Great CareerEnactus is supported by some of the best companies in the world, who recognize the value of Enactus experience and compete very aggressively for the opportunity to meet and recruit Enactus students . You’ll have the chance to network with executives and recruiters from these companies at Enactus competitions, career fairs and through other interactive events and activities . Every year, thousands of students leverage their Enactus experience and contacts to start careers with Enactus donor companies . Here’s your chance to network with and get to know the leaders of some of the top companies in the world .

Represent University of AlbertaEnactus is a team -based activity – you’ll be a member of a team that represents your university within the community and the Enactus network, directly contributing to the positive reputation of your university with each success you have . You’ll also represent your university in competition with other colleges and universities at the national level and if your team is good enough, you’ll have the once in a lifetime chance to compete for a world championship against the best teams in the world . As you and your teammates go about the process of building your team, developing projects, finding funding, overcoming obstacles and adversity and participating in a competition, you’ll develop the kinds of bonds and friendships that can last a lifetime .

Enactus University of Alberta’s 2016-2017 Projects

One of our upcoming projects, Brew Green, is an exciting sustainable startup created by members of Enactus at the University of Alberta. Brew Green takes used coffee grounds from businesses on campus and re-purposes them for use in cosmetic products. Stay tuned, as we will be handing out samples on campus to gather feedback from our fellow students!

Our vision for the future is to develop partnerships with local coffee serving businesses to donate their used grounds, so that we can create various cosmetic products and provide them to interested members of the U of A and the greater Edmonton community. Our long-term plans involve an expansion into fertilizer products, as well as targeting marginalized communities in Edmonton to aid in creation of products, with Brew Green in turn providing a stable income and caring environment for participants.

It’s more than just a box. We are very excited to bring you our newest project, CareBox - a social enterprise that will be bringing small “Care Boxes” to your loved ones for a very modest price of $5. It is a way to show them that you truly care about them. You just simply provide us with information about your loved one and we’ll deliver the Care Box to them. We will be selling the boxes through online purchase on our Facebook page. Our mission is: To make the people of Edmonton happier. Our long term expectations are to

partner with local and large companies to help the program achieve a larger scale program and provide more value to the local community.

Level-Up Workshop, is a startup created by members of Enactus at the University of Alberta. The Workshop is focused to teach recent immigrants who do not have the opportunity to learn the basics of Canadian banking. We hope that with partnerships with immigration agencies, we can provide this unique type of experience for those who want to build a great future

living with their families in the Edmonton community. As we come closer to the future, we want to create a series of this workshop, helping more and more immigrants improve their financial knowledge.
