Congratulations on the Purchase • Post purchase setup requires you to clear all existing demo data
• Setup time periods
• Identify an HR Manager
• You can start using EmpXtrack only after completing all the activities
• This should take no longer than 5 – 10 minutes

Initial setup: Setup company details

Enter your
company name
and note the
URL for access
Step 2.
Upload company
logo, specify
currency and
address
Step 3.
Click on Update

• Specify your date format and setup the start date for week. Identify your
timezone.
• Setup Financial Years (FY) by giving your start date and clicking on View
financial periods.
• Setup Time periods by setting up the options and clicking on View time
periods. Time periods are used for Appraisal, goal setting, training
management modules.
• To make changes post generation of time periods, you will have to clear the
time periods again.

• EmpXtrack forces a unique email id for each employee. Since you may like to
make yourself the HR Manager, with your own email, it may be a good idea to
update the details here.
• Admin login should not be shared with any one else. It allows configuration &
security options.
• Make the relevant changes and click on Update

1. This is the final step. You just need to identify an employee who will manage the application. (Note: You can have multiple HR managers but setup requires just one)
2. You are capturing the basic details for the HR Manager. You will be able to update all other details for this employee once the setup is complete. Enter all fields above and click on Add HR Manager button.
3. Your user name will be your login user name and is the same as your employee number. (You can change that later).

• Our support Help Desk will contact you and you will have access to a dedicated person
for configuration support. Click on Settings menu and you can setup various options
based on the modules procured by you. Some settings options included below are

• Employee portal: Setup company directory, Setup quick links, Manage polls
• Employee record settings: Configure HRIS fields, Upload employees, Upload
reporting relationships, Upload other employee data, View-update permissions for
employee data.
• Setup Masters: Setup various employee and other demographic masters
• General Settings (Security): Setup HR Managers (Global groups and assign
roles), Settings menu access rules
• Payroll Settings: Configure payroll fields and reports, Setup salary structures,
Design payslips
• Performance Management settings: Configure goalsheets, appraisals, variable
pay, compensation planning
• Recruitment: Configure applicant tracking, Onboarding configurations
