Emotional Resilience Empowering Words of Wisdom for Challenging Times
@marquitaherald
When blindsided by one of life’s inevitable challenges
it’s natural to feel disoriented and more vulnerable to
feelings of negativity, frustration and sadness.
But what if you could learn to embrace
ALL life’s challenges as opportunities for
growth and a brighter future?
“Resilience is a response from the heart, a test
of attitude, motivation and strength of will to prevail
in spite of obstacles in one's path.”
~Steve Solin, MD
The first step to clear the way for a better future
is to LET GO of the past.
“The mental and physical space we create
by letting go of things that belong in our
past gives us the option to fill the space
with something new and better. “
~Susan Fay West
There are as many roads to happiness as there are
to sadness. There is no guarantee that the one you
choose will be the right one.
Will you risk taking a road into the unknown
for a chance at something better in life, or will
you cling to the familiar and
stay where you are?
Sometimes you just have
to be your own hero …
look inside yourself
and find your
inner strength.
Take the first step.
“I may be changed by what
happens to me, but I refuse
to be reduced by it.”
~Maya Angelou
Whatever challenges or obstacles you may be facing
look for the lessons. Each and every obstacle you
encounter has a positive side to it.
“Sometimes the bad things that
happen in our lives put us directly in
the path to the best things that will
ever happen to us.
~Nicole Reed
When you fight and resist the way your life is, you create
a state of fear and upset that almost always makes your
situation worse.
“In the face of inevitable change, the choice was mine.
Fight until my spirit was weary, or release all resistance
and create something new in my changed world.”
~Dean Jackson
But if you are willing to consider adversity as a
blessing in disguise and master the habits of emotional
resilience, you will have harnessed one of the
most powerful of all life forces.
The only difference between stumbling blocks
and stepping stones is the way
in which you use them.
“Remember, there are no
mistakes, only lessons. Love
yourself, trust your choices,
and everything is possible.”
~Cherie-Carter Scotts
There are two ways to look at transitions … with hope,
anticipation, adventure, joy and wonder, or as the end to
all that is familiar and reliable, and a future that is scary,
uncertain and stress-filled.
Which path you choose take … which
outcome you choose to experience,
is entirely up to you.
You must believe in
yourself before anyone
else will take you
seriously.
So what if it doesn't
come naturally?!
You can train yourself
to believe in your
ultimate victory.
The single most important message in personal growth is
you have the power to change your life
for the better!
Emotional Resilience
is about embracing ALL of life’s
challenges and understanding that
without those experiences
- the good and the bad - you might not have grown into
the strong and capable person
you were meant to be.
Thank you!
