PRODUCTION fACILITIES :- Press Section : Productivity reaches up to 110 tons of olives producing approximately 25 tons of olive oil per day.

This press is considered to be the first of its kind in Syria in terms of productivity, functional service and technology.

the press incorporates the principle of continuous centrifugal force (centrifuge), in two stages. It is nature-friendly and

without residues that cause pollution.

- Pomace Drying Section: Composed of heating equipment used for drying and eliminating humidity from the pomace.

- Refinery Section: refining up to 70 tons of olive oil per day.

- Storage Section: 60 Stainless Steel storage tanks with a capacity of 2,600 tons of oil.

of highest degrees of quality reaching the consumer.

OLIVE OIL: USES AND ADVANTAGES : Olive oil is the oily fat from the fruits of the olive tree originated in the Mediterranean region and cultivated for more than 5000 years.

The commercial qualities of olive oils are of three main types:Virgin oil - Produced solely by cold pressing the crushed olive fruits. There is a whole range of “virgin qualities”. The oil obtained from the initial gentle pressing, Extra Virgin, is the best and the most expensive. It has a distinct taste and the flavour and aroma of the olive fruit. Extra virgin olive oil is high in antioxidants, which are vital for a healthy system.

Studies show that the antioxidants present in extra virgin olive oil can help to increase the elasticity of artery walls thereby reducing risk of heart attack and stroke.

Advantages of Olive OilAs a medicine for prevention or cure- Olive oil can be used for disease prevention, or as a contributing agent to cure diseases. Used this way it can be taken by spoon. Two tablespoons a day is often the recommended dose.

Health benefits of olive oil : The health and therapeutic benefits of olive oil were first mentioned by Hippocrates, the father of medicine. He recommended it for curing ulcers, cholera and muscular pains. For centuries, the nutritional, cosmetic and medicinal benefits of olive oil were endorsed by the Mediterranean people.

Colon Cancer: Olive oil seems to reduce the amount of bile acid and increase the levels of the enzyme presumed to regulate cell turnover in the gut.

It was used to maintain skin and muscle flexibility, heal abrasions and soothe the burning and dying effects of sun and water. In recent decades, the medical world has not only discovered it is rich in vitamins A,B-1, B-2, C, D, E, K and iron, but it is highly digestible, has a mild laxative effect, contains a good quality of essential fatty acids and helps the absorption of vitamins. Interestingly, because Extra Virgin olive oils are cold pressed (extracted without the use of heat, steam or solvents), the vitamins remain in their natural state. The beneficial effects of olive oil are due to both its high content of mono unsaturated fatty acids and its high content of anti-oxidative substances. Following, are more health benefits.1. 6. Breast Cancer: A study conducted jointly by Swedish and American researchers suggested mono-unsaturated fat can reduce a woman’s risk of breast cancer. For each additional 10 grams of mono-unsaturated fat eaten, a woman’s breast cancer risk was estimated to drop by 45%. It is also believed the vitamin E in olive oil prevents the cellular damage that leads to breast cancer.7. Using olive oil in preference to polyunsaturated vegetable oils would help provide a better balance of fats within cell membranes and reduce triglycerides.8. Aging: Extra virgin olive oil helps to obtain good bone mineralization and the antioxidant substances such as vitamins E & K are known to delay the aging process.Ideally, olive oil is kept in a cool dark area to prevent oxidation and quality deterioration.
