Emigration Statistics
• 87,000 people emigrated Ireland in 2012.
• 36,000 were Irish nationals under the age of 25
• 150,000 young people have emigrated since 2008
• Irelands emigration is the highest recorded since 1990.

The Results
• Jobbridge scheme; to people the opportunity to gain experience and bridge the gap between study and the working world.
• 52% of finishers of the jobbridge scheme are now in paid employment. This is the most successful work placement programme in Europe.
• Fas; offers training and paid employment for various
job area ‘s.• Back to work scheme; is aimed at people receiving unemployment benefit for a long period of time.
