Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College (Autonomous), Sivakasi, established in 1963, in the industrial town of Sivakasi, popularly known as “Little Japan” in Tamil Nadu is a standing testimony to the wisdom and foresight of late Thiru. P. Ayya Nadar, a leading businessman and pioneering industrialist of this town. As the institution was established by his municence, the College was ttingly named after him and his equally generous wife, Thirumathi. A. Janaki Ammal. The College has been serving as a beacon light in the backward area of Virudhunagar District, emphasizing teaching, learning and research programmes in different disciplines for the benet of thousands of rural students who pursue higher education. Today, Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College is reckoned as one of the leading educational research institutions in India with diversied courses, excellent infrastructure, competent faculty and very promising

thstudents. The College is re-accredited (4 Cycle) with 'A+' Grade (CGPA of 3.48 out of 4.0) and recognized by UGC as College of Excellence. The College has completed ve decades of service to the society and the Nation. THE DEPARTMENT The Department of Microbiology was established in the year 1997. The department offers U.G., P.G., and M.Phil. Courses. In our endeavour to epitomize the academic excellence and research calibre, the Department of Microbiology has dedicated itself to conduct seminar/ workshop/ intercollegiate meet every year. The faculty and students are actively involved in research. The Department has been equipped with individual laboratories. The alumni of the Department are well-settled in India and abroad in various elds of advanced life sciences. The Department of Microbiology awarded as at National level by BEST DEPARTMENTMicrobiologist Society, India. ABOUT SEMINAR Micro-organisms and their activities are vitally important because they affect every aspect of ourlives they are in us on us and around us. These microbes play key roles in nutrient cycling, biodegradation/biodeterioration, climate change, food spoilage, the cause and control of disease, and biotechnology. Microbiology research is always important to be the current global aspirations and challenges, such as maintaining food, water and energy security for a healthy population on a habitable earth. This live seminar is specically design edforstudents, Ph.D. scholars, faculties who are interested to acquire the knowledge in the eld of life sciences. Our speakers are an expert in their subjects and will be sharing their experience and knowledge with the attendees.

SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS The last date for the submission of abstract is 10.03.2021. Abstract not exceeding 250 words neatly typed with double spacing in A4 size paper with sufcient margin in all sides. The abstract should be prepared using Times New Roman (Font size 12). The abstract can also be send by e-mail. The name of the author presenting the paper should be in bold italics.

E-POSTER The e-poster should be in a single JPEG format. The e poster should be submitted along with 2 minutes video explanation (jpeg+video). One student / e-poster. The le size should be less than 25 MB. The participant is required to send the e poster on or before to the th15 March 2021mail : [email protected]
