Kenneth W. Dobbins is president emeritus and the 17th president of Southeast MissouriStateUniversity.Dobbinsservedaspresidentfrom1999-2015,afterservinginseveralpositionsinhighereducationadministrationbothatKentStateUniversity in Ohio and at Southeast.

DuringhistenureatSoutheast,academicprogramshavebeenenhanced,includingestablishmentofaSchoolofPolytechnicStudiesandtheEarlandMargieHollandSchool of Visual and Performing Arts, which opened in fall 2007 on the new $50millionRiverCampus.TheDonaldL.HarrisonCollegeofBusinesshasbeenrecognizedforthelastthreeyearsbyaPrincetonReviewpublicationasoneof

thebestbusinessschoolsinthenation,andthedepartmentofcommunicationhasachievednationalaccreditationofitsprogramsinjournalism,advertising,publicrelations,radioandvideoproduction.Thedepartment of industrial and engineering technology recently received its initial ABET accreditation.

DobbinsearnedhisB.S.inaccountingfromtheUniversityofAkron(Ohio)in1971andservedasacommissioned officer and civilian executive in the U.S. Air Force for almost 10 years. He received a M.B.A. in 1979 from Old Dominion University (Va.) and the Ph.D. in higher education administration in 1987 from Kent State.HeisalsoaCertifiedPublicAccountantinOhio.

Colleen Bentley retired in 2014 after eight years as the director of special projects for the California State University (CSU) Office of the Chancellor, where she wrote speechesandotherarticlesforthechancellorandCSUboardoftrustees;workedwiththe23campuspresidentsonissues;andcreatedaward-winningvideos.Sheserved10yearsasthedirectorofpublicaffairs,andfiveyearsasthemanagerofmedia relations, where she served as the main spokesperson for the chancellor, boardoftrusteesandcampuspresidents.Shehasconductedmediatrainingforuniversitiesandotherpublic/privateinstitutionsformorethan25years,anddoesconsulting work on communications-related issues. She is a former newspaper

reporter in Los Angeles County and Las Vegas. Her B.A. is from California State University, Long Beach and she didhergraduateworkattheUniversityofNevada,LasVegas,whereshealsowasapart-timefacultymemberandeditorofthestudentnewspaper.SheservesonsixvolunteerboardsinthecityofLongBeach.

Howard Cohen is chancellor emeritus and professor of philosophy at Purdue UniversityNorthwest(formerly,PurdueUniversityCalumet).Heholdsabachelor’sdegreeinphilosophyfromtheUniversityofMinnesota(1966)andamaster’sand doctorate from Harvard University (1970/1971). He has held academic and administrative appointments at the University of Massachusetts-Boston, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Cohen was chancellor of Purdue University Calumet for 10 years and interim president at SUNY Buffalo State in 2014.

Cohen’steachingandresearchinterestsarefocusedintheareasofsocialphilosophyandethics.Headdressesquestionsrelatedtotheobligationsofthoseinpositionsofauthoritywhomakedecisionsforothers.Heistheauthoroftwobooks(Equal Rights for Children and Power and Restraint: The Moral Dimensions of Police Work[withMichaelFeldberg])andnumerousjournalarticles,aswellas“EthicsforPresidents”inAASCU’sPublic Purpose magazine. Recently,Cohenhasbeendevelopingseriousgamesfortheclassroom. Cohen also lectures on leadership, American higher education and ethics for engineers.

Cohen has traveled and lectured in China, where he has held honorary professorships at Central South University in Changsha, Guangdong University of Technology in Guangzhou, and North China Electric Power University in Beijing. He has consulted with Bayan College in Muscat, Oman.

Cohen is also a senior associate in the AASCU-Penson Center for Professional Development.

Kevin Dickson is professor of management in the department of management and marketing in the Donald L. Harrison College of Business. Dickson has a Ph.D. in management from the University of Texas at Austin. He also received a Master of Organizational Behavior and a Bachelor of Arts from Brigham Young University.

Dickson teaches principles of management, human resource management, and improving team performance at the undergraduate level. He has also taught at the MBA level. He is part of the graduate faculty and honors faculty of Southeast Missouri State University.

DicksonhaspublicationsintheJournal of Management Inquiry;theJournal of Behavioral and Applied Management; the Journal of Management in Engineering; the Journal of Organizational Culture, Communications, and Conflict and others.
