I. Introduction

The Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) guides rescuers to aircraft in emergencies. An

ELT must be programmed with a unique identification code to be transmitted in an

emergency. The ELT Coding Form on Honeywell’s Aerospace Software & Data Services

(ASDS) website will help you in providing Honeywell with the data required to program your

ELT.

This user guide provides the instructions on how to access and fill the new and enhanced

ELT Coding Form from Honeywell’s Aerospace Software & Data Services (ASDS) website.

II. Accessing ASDS

1. Type < https://ads.honeywell.com/> in your browser and click ENTER to open the

ASDS home page as shown below:

2. Alternatively, Type < https://myaerospace.honeywell.com/> in your browser and click

ENTER. Click “Aerospace Software & Data Services” option from the “Software &

Data” Menu to open the ASDS home page.

III. Login to ASDS

As an authorized user, you need to log in to ASDS website to download databases, subscribe, and purchase softwares.

To log on to ASDS -

On the ASDS Home page, in the Login section:

1. Type your Honeywell ID.

2. Type your Password.

3. Click Sign In.

4. Click Continue on the pop-up that appears (shown below).

NOTE

If you do not have a Honeywell ID, click Register to create a Honeywell ID.

If you forget your Honeywell ID, click the Forgot your ID? link and follow the on-

screen instructions to retrieve your ID.

If you forget your password, click the Forgot your Password? and follow the on-

screen instructions to reset the password.

To remember your ID on the computer, select the Remember my ID check box.

However, selecting this checkbox is not recommended for shared systems.

User ID Management helps to manage the user profile such as changing the

current password, retrieving forgotten password, retrieving User ID, viewing/edit-ing account details, testing the account status.

On successful log on, the ASDS Dashboard page appears, as shown below –

NOTE

If you are a new ASDS user, after logging in , click “Get ASDS Access” to re-

quest access to the website.

If you are an existing NavDB or EGPWS user, you are not required to request for additional ASDS access, as this is an extension of current ADS.

IV. Accessing ELT Coding Form

1. Post login, on the ASDS dashboard, click “Service Request Forms”

2. The ‘Select a form type’ pop-up appears. Click “Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) Coding Request Form”

3. The ‘My ELTs’ home page appears as shown below. Click “Create New” to create an ELT Coding Request

4. The ‘Customer Info’ page appears as shown below. Enter your details.

a. Click ‘Next’ to proceed.

b. Click ‘Save’ to save your information without proceeding.

c. Saved forms can be later accessed from the ‘Drafts’ section.

Click ‘Edit’ to restart filling the form from where you saved. Click ‘Delete’ to remove the record permanently.

5. The ‘Part Numbers’ page appears on clicking ‘Next’ from the ‘Customer Info’ page.

a. Click to select your type of ELT Order b. Click to select one or multiple part numbers from the available list. c. Click to download the reference coding sheet PDF file. d. Click ‘Back’ to go back to the previous section of ‘Customer Info’.

6. The ‘Coding’ page appears on clicking ‘Next’ from the ‘Part Numbers’ page.

a. Select the total number of units for the part number from the drop down.

b. Select the distribution of the units across protocol(s).

c. If required, click to download the ‘Product Description’ & ‘ELT Tips’ documents

d. Enter the field values as per the selected protocols and click ‘Next’.

e. Click ‘Submit Coding Instruction’ to confirm the selections and submit the details to Honeywell.

7. On submitting the instructions, you would see a confirmation screen as shown below. Click ‘My ELTs’ to go to home page.

8. The ‘My ELTs’ page appears. Here you can view the details of your submitted coding forms.
