EPINEPHRINE (1mg)Given I/VDose for cardiac arrest : 1 mg IV/IO every 3-5 minutes.

For bradycardia : 1 mg in 500ml NS/D5W infusion at 2-10 micrograms /minute

ATROPINE Not used for Asystole anymore.

Used for bradycardia

Not effective for 2nd degree AV block -Mobitz Type 2 and 3rd degree AV block (CHB)

Dosage : 1 mg every 3-5 minutes Maximum dose : 3 mg

AMIODARONE For pulsless VT and VF only if Epinephrine and Vasopressin have failed.Dose : 300 mg IV/IO push Repeat 150 mg IV/IO

ADENOSINE For stable SVT

6 mg IV over 3 seconds , followed by 20 ml saline flush.

Repeat 12 mg and third dose

as 12 mg or 18 mg.

Short Half life.

units/10ml• Morphine• Aspirin• Clopidogrel• Ticagrelor (Brilinta) loading 180 mg, then 90 mg

BID• Verapamil• GTN Infusion /Spray /tablet• Lasix

Respiratory Emergency Drugs

• Nebulizers : Salbutamol, Atrovent, Combivent Pulmicort

HydrocortisoneMagnesium Sulphate : 2 grams/ 8 mmolAminophylline : Loading 5 mg /kg bw in 100 ml

D5W over 30 minutesMaintenance : 500 mg in 500 ml D5W at

0.5mg/kgbw/hour
