Hi, kids! My name’s ______, and I’m your emcee! Who’s pumped up to be in Konnect today? (Kids shout out) What? You’ve got to be more excited than that! I said, “Who’s pumped up to be in Konnect today?” (Kids shout out) That’s more like it! Now let’s watch a quick rules video with our friends from Konnect HQ.

Let’s pray for our offering. Bow your heads with me. (Kids and leaders bow heads) God, thank you for blessing the gifts we’ve given to you today! We love You! In Jesus’ name, Amen! Ok! Now, everyone’s eyes on me! (Kids and leaders look up) Say today’s point with me! (Together with kids) I trust God instead of worrying. Look for it as we check in on the Konnect HQ crew!

If you liked the God jar you played with in your group, make one at home to help you stop worrying! And I noticed your super small group leaders were helping you figure out how to give your worries to God. Turn to your leader and give them a high five! (Kids high five their leaders.) Great job! Whoa! It’s a good thing the Bible has wisdom about worrying for Luke, or he would’ve gone crazy! Let’s practice the Bible verse he learned. Say it with me! Alright, friends! 1-2-3! Eyes on me! (Kids look at emcee) It’s great to see all of your eyeballs! My name’s ______, and I’m your emcee! Let’s vote on something. If you like Hawaiian shirts, raise your hand. (Some kids raise their hands) Ok. Good to know, good to know. Now, moving on—listen up as our Konnect HQ friends talk about our Konnect rules!

I love to honor God with my offering! Now let me read you today’s point: “I live only for God.” Repeat after me loud and proud! I live only for God. (Kids repeat) I live only for God. Ok, now back to the Hawaiian shirt thing. Do you think they’re fun? Festive? Is everybody wearing them? Sorry, I’m just a little obsessed with Hawaiian shirts today. Watch this and you’ll see why.

Anyone still trapped? Or did everyone escape? Now, what if you catch yourself caring too much about fitting in, doing what everybody else is doing, or wondering what everybody thinks? You’re gonna have to remember today’s point to escape that trap! Say it with me! (Together with kids) I live only for God. That’s it! That’s what you need to remember! Thank You, God, for the chance to give back to You! We sure do have some generous kids in here! Moving on—today’s point is, “Fear is a feeling. It’s not who I am.” Repeat it after me. Fear is a feeling. It’s not who I am. (Kids repeat) Fear is a feeling. It’s not who I am. Way to go! Now, I heard the Konnect HQ crew’s been creepin’ it real this week. Wait? Did I say, “creepin’”? Yeah, I did! Watch this to find out why!

Raise your hand if your group has the best masks! (Kids raise their hands.) Great! Looks like you all had fun taking fear off your face and being brave! It reminds me of our point! Huge rat? Dark basement? Yeah—that’s creepy! But the Bible verse reminds us that God didn’t make us to be afraid. Say it with me! Now you’ve got some mask-making to do in your small group. Get on it!

Get this! Jesus knows everything about you. Yep. Everything. The good, the bad, and the ugly. But He still loves you! That’s what the ABCs are all about! If you’re ready to follow Jesus, let your small group leader know, and talk to your family about it. Don’t let fear hold you back. Fear’s not a part of you! God made you to trust in Him! (Kids shout out name of their small group leader.) Sounds like you’ve got it! Don’t forget it! Now, listen up as our friends share the rules with us!

Mmm. God is good to us. I love to give back to Him! God is so good, He sends us help when we need it! This week’s point is all about that: “When I’m afraid I’ll fail, God will help me.” Now say it with me! (Together with kids) When I’m afraid I’ll fail, God will help me. Way to go! Now that you know the point, I’ve got a question for you. Which is better: ceiling marshmallows or floor marshmallows? Watch this before you decide!

You all have some sweet origami skills now! But it was ruff without any help, huh? Get it? Ruff? Like what a dog says? Get it? OK, that’s silly, but it’s not silly to count on God when you’re afraid you’ll fail. Say the point with me. (Together with kids) When I’m afraid I’ll fail, God will help me. Wow. That was loud.
