WHAT IS EMBER?EMBER is an Erasmus Mundus- Action2 funded Programmeof the European Commission, aiming at developing astructured academic exchange based on the cooperationbetween several Higher Education Institutions fromArmenia (2), Azerbaijan (2), Belarus (1), Georgia (3), Moldova (1), Ukraine (2) on the one hand and Estonia(1), Germany(1), Italy (2), Lithuania (1), Poland (1) Spain(1), and Sweden (2),on the other hand.
The exchange will benefit academic and administrative staff,as well as all graduate and postgraduate students.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR EMBER?
Students, researchers and staff From the participating institutions, who are nationals of Armenia, Azerbaijan,Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine or one of the Europeancountries, falling within the following target groups:
Target Group 1: Students, researchers, and staff of one ofthe participating higher education institutions.
Target Group 2: Nationals of Armenia, Azerbaijan,Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine, who:
• Have obtained a university degree or equivalent ofby a Higher Education Institution of any third countryconcerned.
• Are registered/work in a Higher Education Institutionnot included in the partnership.
Target Group 3: Nationals of Armenia, Azerbaijan,Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine who are inparticularly social and political vulnerable situations.
WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS?
For applicants from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine:
• Must be a national of one of these countries.
• Can not have been a resident nor have carried out theirmain activity for more than 12 months over the last 5years in any of the eligible European countries at thetime of submitting their application (not applicable toTGIII candidates).
• Undergraduate students must have successfullycompleted at least one year of studies in their homeinstitution.
Phase 1:-Application forms (posted online) will need to be filled out by all TG applicants:
-All supporting documents needs to be scanned and uploaded in the online system.
-Language Issues.
Phase 2:-Host Institutions will perform initial review of applications.
-Home Institutions will also perform review of applications.

contacted by Home or Host institution for interviews
Phase 4:• Selection Committee review and
decision
• Notifications will be sent via email
• Rejected Candidates will be able to appeal and/or request justification
• Visa application process and further guidance ensues upon students’ acceptances of scholarships
