Week in Review This week we met our letter friends Dudley Duck and Pippa Pig. We read poems about shapes, looked for the shapes around the classroom, and on the playground. We made shapes in shaving cream and using wicky sticks. We also loved using shapes to create pictures. Also this week, we worked with colors. We read White Rabbit’s Color Book and used color paddles to mix colors. We also colored a rainbow and told what our favorite color was. We learned a 2 new words this week (said, like) and two new letters (Dd and Pp). We are learning so many things that will help us read and write.

Fulton Farms Field Trip
Our first Kindergarten field trip will be on Friday, October 10th. The field trip will be during regular kindergarten hours. We are going to Fulton Farms to learn about apples and pumpkins. Our field trip will coordinate perfectly with our units on these topics. We received a grant for this trip; therefore there is no cost for students. This grant helps to cover the experience at Fulton Farms including, each child receiving a pumpkin, apple, hayride, and playing in Fulton Farms’ outdoor area. Please dress your child appropriately for this day.
