Miyuki Galvanized Gold Turquoise Green OpaqueJet GunmetalCrystal in Gold Setting

I used Miyuki beading thread and a size 12 needle. You can use other thread but I can’t guarantee that it works properly.

The beads I used are available at the Beadsmith and Czech Glaskralen. You can also askyour local bead shop to order the beads that are needed in this tutorial.

The amount of beads below are for one ring. All beads are calculated amply for different sizes rings. The amount of Chatons will be the same.

The sample ring has a US size 8 to 8 ½ and uses 12 Cali beads. You need to play a little bit with the beads to adjust the ring to your own ring size! If you need any help, don’t be shy and contact me!

Step 1A - Pick up 1 x CB - 1 x 11/0 - 1 x 15/0 - 1 x MC - 1 x 15/0 - 1 x 11/0 - 1 x CB - 1 x 11/0 - 1 x 15/0 - 1 x MC - 1 x 15/0 - 1 x 11/0 - 1 x CB - 1 x 11/0 - 1 x 15/0 - 1 x MC - 1 x 15/0 - 1 x 11/0 (FIG1)

Step 1B - Pick up 1 x CB - 1 x 11/0, repeat this step for another 8 times for a ring size 8 to 8 ½. If you need a smaller or bigger size ring please try to remove or add to this sequence (FIG1).

Go back through the first CB - 11/0 - 15/0 of step 1A (FIG1).

Step 2 - Pick up 3 x 11/0, go through the next 15/0 - 11/0 - CB - 11/0 - 15/0. Repeat this step for another two times, then go through all the beads of step 1B, go through the first CB of step 1A (FIG2).

Then go through the second hole and back through the third hole, see illustration for more clarity (FIG2).

Step 3 - Pick up 1 x 11/0 - 1 x 15/0, go through the second hole of the MC. Pick up 1 x 15/0 - 1 x 11/0, go through the third hole of the next CB. Repeat this step for another two times. With the last repeat you stepped up through the third hole of the CB. See illustration for more clarity (FIG3).

Step 4 - Pick up 1 x 11/0, go through the next CB, third hole. Repeat this step for the rest of the round, come out of the first 15/0 you added in step 3 (FIG4).

Step 5 - Pick up 3 x 11/0, go through the next 15/0 - 11/0 - CB - 11/0 - 15/0. Repeat this step for another two times. Come out of the middle hole of the first CB after the MC (FIG5).

Step 6 - Pick up 1 x 11/0, go through the next CB, middle hole. Repeat this step for the rest of the round. When you have finished this step, go through all the beads again that you added in all the steps to add strength to your piece. Make sure to follow the thread paths that already exist.
