Electronic textbooks provides a new way for professors and teachers to communicate with students. Electronic textbooks are less expensive, lighter, environmentally friendly, has built in assessments and richer content.

Michael Hart developed the first digital book.The following groups plan on implementing their textbooks into digital textbooks:McGraw-Hill, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt K-12, Pearson and Kaplan.

Research

Obstacles that have slowed down production of the electronictextbook are poor resolution, price for e based paper readers, and suitable content.

Development

The product will be marketed to public and private school systems.
