Laboratory stand for study of electrical measurement meth- ods is based on NI VirtualBench platform. Software appli- cation is developed in NI LabVIEW graphical programming environment. The aim of the electrical measurements laboratory is to help students study operational principles and obtain skills of working with voltmeters, ammeters, digital multimeters, os- cilloscopes, signal generators, and also to study calculation and types of measurement errors. Using the laboratory students can investigate operational principles of digital oscilloscopes and study different meth- ods of measurements for electrical parameters. 1. Calculation of absolute and relative measurement errors 2. Direct and indirect voltage and cur- rect measurements 3. Extention of measurement ranges of voltmeters and ammeters using shunt and additional resistors 4. Direct measurements of sinewave voltages and currents 5. Estimation of upper frequency limit of meters 6. Indirect measurement of electrical power using voltmeters and ammeters 7. Direct and indirect measurements of electrical resistance 8. Measurement of electrical resistance with bridge method 9. Measurement of electrical resistance with unbalanced bridge method 10. Study of digital oscilloscopes 11. The aim of the electrical measurements laboratory is to help students study operational principles and obtain skills of working with voltmeters, ammeters, digital multimeters, os-cilloscopes, signal generators, and also to study calculation and types of measurement errors.

Digital Oscilloscopes

This lab is designed to study the oscilloscope. Signal pa-rameters such as amplitude, swing, period, frequency, pulse duration and fronts, duty cycle are measured. For some pa-rameters measurement errors are also calculated.

Frequency Meters

This lab is designed to study the measurement of signal frequency. The frequency and the period of specified sig-nals are measured. For a given number of measurements Mathematical Expectation, Standard Deviation, Arithmetic Mean and measurement errors should be calculated.

Voltage and Current Measurements

This group of labs is designed to study types of measure-ment errors, direct and indirect methods of measuring volt-age and current. Special lab is intended for estimation of the upper limit of the frequency range of measuring instruments.

This group of labs is designed to study the direct and indi-rect methods of measurement of electrical resistance, as well as study the bridge method of measurement of electri-cal resistance.

The measurement errors are calculated and compared for each of the methods.
