– Utility relocations

When will construction take place?
• Construction on the Skyway Bridge and the 120th Avenue Bridge will begin
in June 2015
• Construction of the remainder of the line will begin progressively
• Generally, construction will take place between 7 am and 5 pm, Monday
through Friday
• There will be exceptions as circumstances dictate
• Construction will be complete in late 2017

Where will construction take place?
• The majority of construction will take place along the RTD rail
corridor
• Some construction work will take place on adjacent streets
• Construction will also take place where parking lots and
structures are planned

• The use of water trucks will reduce the amount of dust

Legal regulations?
• There are regulations on fumes, dust, noise, etc., that the contractor must
follow
• Any variance to these regulations must be approved by the local
jurisdictions
• An example of a variance might include night or Sunday work

How is the public kept informed?
• E-mail notices will be sent regarding upcoming construction activities
• Door hangers will be placed at all DIRECTLY impacted properties at least 5 days prior to new construction activities
• The North Metro Rail Line website and the monthly North Metro Rail Line e-newsletter will have specific upcoming construction information
• Roadside Variable Message signs will be displayed
• Coordination with city Public Information Officers
