The El Paso Boxing and Martial Arts Hall of Fames were founded in 1993 by Thomas W. McKay and accompanied by the late Victor Villarreal. The halls were created for two main purposes. One was to honor boxing and martial arts men and women of the southwest who have demonstrated excellence in their sport and outstanding citizenship in their personal lives. Second, and equally, our mission has always included a manner of raising monies for The Candlelighters of El Paso, Texas who support children with cancer in so many wonderful ways. For most of the past two decades we can proudly say, “Mission Accomplished.”
