Water ConservationRainwater Collection & Use
Greywater Reuse
rain falls on the sloped roofs
rain water runs off of the roof to a gutter system
gutters direct the rainwater tostorage barrelsto be saved for later uses

Greywater from sinks and showers can be used for: * flusing toilets --> plumbed into the system * irrigating gardens --> greywater is directed to a storage tank where it is slowly and continually introduced to the plants at the roots through a drip hose
Solar SystemsSolar Wall Solar Thermal Hot Water
cool air from inside the building
hot air delivered inside
the building
the sun heatsup the air inside
the solar wall
the air in the wall cavity is
heated by the sunwith the help of
the corrugated metal skin of the solar wall
How Does It Work?
* Cool air from the building is drawn into the solar wall through the lower vent
* The air is then heated between the wall and a layer of corrugated metal with solar radiation
* The warmer air rises and is then released into the room through the upper vent, heating the space
a black painted hoseis laid out on the roof as the heat collecting
mechanism for the solarhot water system
