Localización: está al oeste de Soria limitando con Burgos.Fauna: cerca de 200 especies de vertebrados, entre las que
destacan el buitre leonado, el águila real y culebrera, también la ardilla o el jabalí.
Relieve: profundo cañón de escarpadas paredes verticales, abierto en las calizas compactas del Cretácico.
Vegetación: sabina albar, pino laricio, matorral de cantueso, aulaga y enebro rastrero. Bosque de ribera y plantas
acuáticas.Tipo de vegetación: aulaga.

Entre los árboles el pionero y emblemático es la sabina albar o enebro, conviviendo con el pino
pudio, quejigo y encina.

real y chico, lechuza, cárabo, autillo y mochuelo.
