CADA DÍA ENTRAN EN EL ASTILLERO 44,152 PERSONAS• Diseño e I+D+i: 5,400 (3,400 propias y 2,000 subcontratadas) – 12,2%• Producción: 35,940 (7,191 propias y 28,749 subcontratadas) – 81,4%• Compras, soporte y dirección: 2,812 – 6,4%

El astillero es capaz de construir más de 60 buques al año, si bien en los últimos años ha reducido esta cifra y la actividad es mucho mayor en el sector de offshore que ha crecido muy deprisa hasta superar el 60% de las operaciones.

Actualmente los buques mercantes suponen el 35% y los de guerra un 5%. Sus planes son que las proporciones anteriores sean del 50, 45 y 5%, respectivamente.

Para el año 2023 quieren duplicar su facturación actual en buques de guerra, dedicando el 50% a su marina y el otro 50% a la exportación.

DSME - LAS INSTALACIONES

Los astilleros coreanos cuentan con centros de I+D+i orientados a los procesos, incluyendo la robótican tanto o más que a los productos. En DSME tienen más de 400 personas dedicadas.

BAE gets £859m boost for Navy's new Type 26 frigates - TelegraphBy Alan Tovey, Industry Editor. 20 Feb 2015.

BAE Systems has agreed an £859m contract with the Government that pushes forward the development of a new class of warship for the Royal Navy.Under the deal, which moves the programme from development towards the early stages of manufacturing, BAE will begin investing in systems for the first three vessels in the class, which require long lead times to build, such as gas turbines engines, diesel generators and steering gear. It will also begin work on on shore testing facilities for the ships.
