My experience at the Front Desk

• Help visitors locate patients/departments/doctors, etc.

• Escort patients to Nuclear Medicine, the Sleep Lab, Medical Records, etc.

• Deliver items from the gift shop to patient’s rooms

• Order disks from the Radiology Reading Room

Personal Growth• Problem Solving- utilizing tools to complete

tasks in a efficient and timely manner• Communication- the importance of body

language• Detachment- not letting personal emotions

what I like about the medical field.

Application of Previous Knowledge

• Spanish- improved my communication with the patients and showed me how knowledge acquired in school is applicable in real life

• Medical Terminology/Anatomy- ability to understand language used by medical professionals

Future Career Choices and New Opportunities• Opened up possibilities-

• Physician Assistant (PA)• Registered Nurse

• All individual positions are necessary to provide a patient with the best care possible

Advice I Will Carry With Me

• “Pick a career that you will never find boring.”

• “Always go the extra mile. This could be the worst day in someone’s life.”
