FIREFOX SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Firefox users viewing PDFs will need to make a change to their browser. In Firefox go to Tools and choose Options.

In the Options window click Applications. Scroll down to the Portable Document Format (PDF) line.

To automatically download and open application PDFs in Adobe Reader, change the Action to ‘Use Adobe Reader (default)’. Click OK.

To view PDFs directly in eGrant.net, change the Action to ‘Use Adobe Reader (in Firefox)’. Click OK.

EGRANT.NET REVIEWER SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS (ALL BROWSERS):

IN ADDITION TO THE EGRANT.NET TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS ABOVE, THE FOLLOWING APPLIES:

• If you are having trouble, try logging out of eGrant.net Reviewer and logging in with a different browser.

• eGrant.net Reviewer users cannot have multiple sessions open. If you need to view the application in a separate window there is a link to do so. Do not open a separate window and log in again.

• Each user should have a separate login. Don’t assign the same login to multiple users.

• Don’t let your session timeout. If it does, close your browser and sign in again.

• Let the review page fully load before entering your comments and scores and clicking Save.

• Be sure to click Save before leaving the review page.

• Enter review scores slowly, allowing the score to change from gray to black, before tabbing to the next field.

STAFF ATTACHMENTS

For eGrant.net Reviewer administrators that upload files in the Staff Attachments section using Internet Explorer:

• Go to Tools and then Internet Options. On the Security tab, choose Custom Level. (continued on next page)




• • Page down the list of settings, just past the middle of the list, and set ‘Include local directory path when uploading

files to a server’ to ‘Disable.’ This is the default setting, so you may have a need for it to be enabled. Until we can make eGrant.net Reviewer ignore this setting, you can change this setting this while you are uploading staff attachments and then deselect when you’re done.




ADOBE READER SETTINGS (ALL BROWSERS):

IN ORDER TO VIEW PDF REPORTS IN EGRANT.NET OR EGRANT.NET REVIEWER, YOU’LL NEED TO MAKE SURE THE FOLLOWING PREFERENCE IS SET IN ADOBE:

• Open Adobe • Select Preferences from the Edit menu. • Select Internet and make sure Display PDF in browser is selected. • Reboot your computer.




IPAD SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Please ensure your device has the latest IOS and updates installed prior to reviewing.

Log in to eGrant.net and initiate your Reviewer session.

Select the group you will review.

Select an application to read and score by first checking the application and then tapping review

3 Now you are able to score the application and select the tabs which may hold data to inform your decision. Though the pdf report appears, the applicant data is missing.

Tap the link to “View Application in a new window”.

In the Printer Options window scroll down to the print preview and use two fingers to zoom/expand the preview.

After reading the application, return to the scoring page to complete your review.

Once the application opens tap the “Open In” icon.

In the window that opens select print (You will not actually be printing anything and don’t need a printer installed)




EGRANT.NET BUILDER TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIAL NOTES:

The following information are technical requirements and special notes for eGrant.net Builder, an add-on which allows eGrant.net administrators to make changes to grant applications and add grant types on your own. With Builder, you have full access to the functions that we use to create and change applications. • Modifying eGrant.net forms with the Builder tool requires basic HTML coding for formatting purposes. • To modify PDFs (the printable version of applications), a recent version of Adobe Acrobat (not Adobe Reader) is

required. • Some of your applications may have what we call “custom pages”, meaning they are not built using our Builder

tool, but rather they are ASP files which we build in Microsoft Visual Studio. We use this technology when custom functionality that cannot be accommodated using a standard page is needed. For example, pages where the applicant can add a line and where the applicant can preview their PDF from within the application before submitting (“Summary” pages) require .asp files. If you need to modify these pages Bromelkamp Company can modify them for you, and an hourly fee would apply for these modifications.

• If your form has an HTML2PDF report, this means that some of the pages in the PDF version are actually .asp files (this is often related to the “custom page” content). As with “custom pages”, Bromelkamp would need to modify those and the work would be billed at your hourly rate.

• Akoya.net clients will need our assistance when creating new forms to be mapped from eGrant.net to Akoya.net.
