• Animal Protein, SA de CV, the largest egg producer in Mexico and Latin America, and the second in the world, known as PROAN Egg brand or San Juan, was founded in 1954, located in San Juan de los Lagos, in the Los Altos of Jalisco

PRODUCTION• The company has a total of 25.2 million hens in

production. This PROAN shocking figure is standing among the greatest of the world, only surpassed, according to our statistics, Cal-Maine Foods, in the US, with 28 million. Hens have 21 production complexes averaging twelve hundred thousand birds, although farms which have up to 1.5 million.

• Handled with a single age farms, with the system "all in-all out", which together with biosecurity measures, carry a very good control.

SECURITY• In the farm “Los Cedros” we were able to observe

that the entire production is completely automated. Straight from the chickens, eggs bands ranging from automatic to grading and packing center, where he first separated the broken egg to not mess others later in the process. The sorting machine processes 500 boxes / hour egg and packaged.
