Together, the teacher with the principal develops a yearly Individual Professional Improvement Plan. It includes areas of strength and weakness, progress of objectives set forth in the previous plan, pupil assessments, and growth toward program objectives. PD 360 videos and segments in needed areas are part of the improvement plan.

The district mandates forming PLCs, along with time specifically set aside for implementation. As a tangible study resource, PD 360 solidifies PLCs in EHT and encourages collaborative conversations. Groups identify a need, watch a video segment, and discuss classroom application.

EHT teachers use PD 360 Interactive Learning Communities to communicate and collaborate with each other and with other groups of teachers around the country. Through it, educators share best practices, learn from one another, and eliminate classroom isolation regardless of location. Learning Communities can be created as public or private domains.

The district’s training program provides ongoing mentoring, observations, evaluations, and formal instruction for new teachers to help them adapt to EHT goals and standards. PD 360 is shown in the training meetings to illustrate common practices.

Each EHT teacher is required to complete 100 clock hours of continuing PD and/or in-service every five years and PD 360 usage can be applied toward the needed hours.

EHT in service meetings are held on the district and school levels to improve teacher skills. PD 360 video segments are shown to instruct, illustrate, and start discussions.
