Interjections

Understands that interjection is a word which expresses some sudden feeling(eg.

oh, hush, hello etc)

Gets familiar with different interjections or exclamations used in different parts

of speech.

Composition-winter chill - making human beings, birds and animals as we see

them in winter (keeping shapes in mind).

Draw desert composition with sun, sand, cactus, camels and palm trees using

appropriate colours.

and red or black and white. Symbolic to hot and cool, good and bad, truth and

lie.

Look carefully at the pictures and write a sentence describing each of them using

any of the conjunctions given below.

Sentence/Story Scramble

You need to create a handout with several scrambled sentences using conjunctions.

Provide your child with the copy of the handout. The child attempts to unscramble

the sentences, placing everything in correct order.

Interjections are generally used in children’s stories. Read an interesting story and

explore a list of interjections such as Bravo! Congratulations! Hey! Oh! Ouch! Alas!

Wow!.

There are situations given below. Frame two sentences on each based on the

situations using interjections. One has been done for you.

travel experience covering the local customs, traditions and lifestyle in a travelogue

and get an exclusive opportunity to be featured! You can add few pictures of your

exciting travel to the place.

Map your way from your home to your house, highlighting all the landmarks like

temples, malls, etc. Draw it on A4 size sheet. Use different colours, make a KEY.

Make a small travel booklet on Places I want to visit…. Include name of the

place, state or country it belongs and what fascinates you to plan a visit, pictures

GRANDPARENTS’ FORUM

Grand parents are a book of experiences, events and stories that strongly affect

our lives and the world around us. We must acknowledge and honour grandparents

for their unconditional love, dedication and contributions to the evolving new

generations.

A grandparent forum was organized for the students of class P4 on 27th December,

2017. Dr. Pushpa Saini, grandmother of Anwita Saini of class P4-C, graced the day.

She talked about the importance of personal hygiene and maintaining healthy eating

habits for balanced lifestyle. She emphasized on eating home cooked food and

enjoying homemade drinks instead of indulging completely on market-based food

items.Through the interactive session, children got to learn about how challenging it

is to be a doctor and it requires lots of hard work and dedication. It was an

enriching and inspiring session for the teachers and students as well.

EXCURSION -LODHI GARDENS

Students of classes P4 and P5 went for a picnic to Lodhi Gardens, Delhi

alongwith their teachers. The children were taken in buses. They enjoyed the

day with a lot of free play, sports activities, board games etc. It was a day

filled with fun, frolic, sharing and caring. Children also visited the Gol Gumbad,

Gol Gumbad Mosque, and the Bada Gumbad at the gardens. It was a great

learning experience for them.
