Company historyEET Europarts is an IT distribution company, headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. Established in 1986, the company began its trading activities as a distributor for Kingston Technology in the Nordics and helped Kingston become the leading memory brand in the region. At the same time EET Europarts built a reputation as a solid and reliable partner to retailers and resellers.

A turning pointIn 1997, London-based equity fund CVC Capital Partners acquired EET Europarts. Together with the EET Europarts management team, the new owners devised a strategy that would prepare EET Europarts for the 21st century. A part of that strategy was for the company to become a pan-European distributor with activities in all significant European countries.

A new strategyThe new strategy saw the company make the challenging transition from regional to pan-European distributor by maintaining a strong focus on:

Vital to the new corporate strategy was the mantra ”long-term sustainable business”. EET Europarts is determined to become the largest, broadest and most convenient IT ”supermarket” available and become the first choice of distributor among resellers throughout the EMEA countries.

Acquisitional growthEET Europarts' growth in the European market was kicked off by the acquisition of the spare parts distribution company IT Distribution in 1998. Since then, an additional 21 acquisitions have been carried out. This has changed EET Europarts from a minor, regional player into a large scale distributor with a presence throughout EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).

The most comprehensive acquisition took place during the summer of 2012, when EET Europarts acquired the spare parts distributor Europarts. This acquisition created EET Europarts, and added additional turnover of € 30 million, as well as 150 employees and a presence in 4 new countries to the group.

Increased presenceThe acquisitions have allowed EET Europarts to strengthen its market position with a broadened portfolio of brands, suppliers, customers and know-how from the acquired companies and

employees. In connection with the implementation of the new strategy, the company established these strategic business areas:

• Server, Computer & Printer Parts• Mobile Parts & Accessories• Home Entertainment & Lifestyle Electronics• Surveillance & Security • Point of Sale & Auto-ID • Professional AV & Digital Signage• Logistics Services

By the end of 2013, most of the strategic goals initially set out had been accomplished. Today EET Europarts is present in 27 countries with 32 sales offices. The company now distributes products from more than 730 premier global suppliers to more than 42,000 customers in EMEA.

Company structureEET GroupEET Group is the backbone of the organisation. EET Group operates in the EMEA market through the company names EET Europarts, EET Security, Podspeakers, Clint Digital and EET Logistics.

EET Group is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and hosts all back office functions, including corporate management, finance, marketing, IT operations, WEB & ERP development, product management, purchasing and logistics centre. EET Group supports all divisions and all 27 countries.

EET EuropartsEET Europarts distributes server, computer and printer parts, home entertainment products and lifestyle electronics, mobile parts and accessories, professional AV and digital signage, point-of-sale and auto-ID, and surveillance and security products from numerous A-brand suppliers to more than 42,000 customers in EMEA.

Additionally, EET Europarts provides a “hard-to-find-product”-service that is highly appreciated by many customers who need spare parts for elderly computers, printers and other equipment.

EET SecurityThe business unit EET Security focuses on high-end high quality surveillance and security products from companies such as Axis, Sony, Acti, Hikvision, Bosch, Ernitec, Milestone, and Canon, as well as providing consultancy services in relation to strategy and choice of solutions.

With today s video surveillance solutions, EET Security offers sophisticated video analytic tools to further improve customers’ return on investment and provide numerous business advantages plus optimization with advanced software applications.

Company financialsFiscal year 2014 in shortThe year 2014 was a time of continued strong growth for EET Europarts. The Group’s revenue increased by 13% in 2014 to € 239 million compared with € 211 million the year before. EBITA amounted to € 17.9 million in 2014, the company’s best result ever.

EET Group has over the years consistently delivered outstanding results and has strong underlying cash flow. The Group has actually improved its operating profit (EBITA) year-on-year for 13 consecutive years. By the end of 2014 the EET Group’s shareholders’ equity exceeded € 48 million.

GrowthEET has grown in the European market in recent years, a trend that continued in 2014, when most sales entities again achieved double-digit sales growth despite a modest growth in the market.

EET Europarts has grown both organically and via corporate acquisitions throughout Europe and Africa. The group is constantly monitoring the market, pursuing its growth strategy. It plans to acquire additional companies in the years to come.

A significant growth rate is expected for fiscal year 2015 and 2016 due to new acquisitions and additional market penetration into new countries and products. Both elements will be major contributors to overall expected growth of 10-15 % in 2015.

Our capacityEET Group Logistics CentreEET Group Logistics Centre is situated in Copenhagen, Denmark. The 15,000 m2 large building has been designed from the ground up and hosts all warehouse facilities, product management, purchasing, service and production teams.

FacilityThe throughput of the new facility is at the moment 5-6.000 order lines on a daily basis, and capacity is to handle twice as much. Furthermore systems like time stamped video surveillance, semi-automated picking, packaging and sorting systems are used keeping mistakes and failures to an absolute minimum.

EET Europarts services customers with drop shipment or blind shipments in the current 27 countries throughout Europe and Africa. Assembly, reconfiguration and production area has also been established.

Some vendors are using the EET Europarts warehouse in Denmark as their European logistics and warehouse hub, due to the highly efficient logistics services and infrastructure, that ensure day-to-day shipments all over Europe.

Solutions & servicesInternational Logistics CentreOur state-of-the-art logistics centre, located in Copenhagen, Denmark, has more than 37,000 different part numbers in stock and more than 720,000 different products available through our website. The logistics centre handles more than 920,000 deliveries annually to more than 42,000 EMEA customers.

Award-winning Product GuideThe award-winning Product Guide has been developed by EET Europarts. It contains more than 2.9 million product relations and more than 103,000 different models and systems from the most popular manufacturers. The Product Guide is installed on more than 2200 websites.

WebsitesEET Europarts has invested many resources in in-house development of localised websites. The websites offer many state-of-the-art features including Search-As-You-Type, Category Overview Section, Product Guide and Product Category Filtering.

Optimal interfacingTo make our business relationships as smooth and easy as possible, we offer various electronic interfaces such as EDI, XML, OIO XML and OIO UBL. Most orders, price and availability enquiries, dispatch information and invoices are handled automatically.

Specialised teamsIn order to ensure that customers have the best experience partnering with EET Europarts, strategic product area divisions have been established. Each area consists of sales, product management, and purchase teams that enable the group to provide outstanding product know-how, high product availability, competitive prices, and fast and reliable deliveries.

Tailored price feedsEET Europarts offers customers daily Price Feeds. These files are automatically transmitted on an as-required basis ensuring that customers always have the latest pricing, stock level and product information. Price Files are either uploaded to customer ftp servers or send as regular email.

Marketing activitiesIn cooperation with suppliers, the marketing team develops a large variety of marketing activities including Web Content, Newsletters, Channelized Magazines, Reseller Guides, Product Leaflets, Product Catalogues, Seminars and Fairs.
