  • Who can apply/participate?

  • • Applicants must be from the private sector in the beneficiary states

    • Companies with Norwegian owners can apply, but the Norwegian

    mother company cannot be a partner

    • Applicants need to be registered according to national regulations

    • Documented ability to implement a project (technologically, financially, human resources).

    Who can apply for EEA Grants?

  • • Registered entities in the Donor States (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway)

    • Partners can be from private sector, research institutes, universities, NGOs, public institutions

    • = any type of legal entities

    Who can be a project partner?

  • Projects aiming at improvement of the overall environmental and financial performance ofenterprises;

    - Environmental innovation- New products/business opportunities- Greening of new or existing enterprises- Entrepreneurship

    Green industry innovation (All countries)

  • • Broad definition: (EU) maritime development, aquaculture, coastal tourism, marine biotechnology, ocean energy and seabed mining.

    • maritime projects: such as technology development,maritime safety, inland water and marine projects, includingport operations, energy efficiency in ships, and new controlsystems.

    • Environmental friendly shipping solutions, incl. energyefficiency measures, LNG hybrid solutions, and zeroemission solutions such as electric operation.

    Blue Growth (Croatia, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Greece)

  • • Development of products and solutions, not investments

    • Tele medicine

    • Smart houses

    • Solutions for people with disabilities

    Welfare Technology (Bulgaria, Estonia, Poland and Slovakia)

  • 4 programmes with Welfare technology and ambient assisted living as focus area:

    Eligible projects could be: product/process/service development related to systems for medical care; products/technologies of smart houses; physical electronic devices and other IT solutions; telemedicine services, technological solutions that are mainly used by and support the staff that deliver or carry out welfare services; etc.

    • Ambient living assistance means innovation and development in the area of “ICT-based products, services and systems for aging well at home”.

  • 1. Be prepared – know as much as possible about the programme, the market, and business opportunities before the is call launched

    2. Take your time to get to know your future partner well before you sign the contract

    3. Visit the company in the partner country - you can apply for travel support

    4. Make sure there is the economic and financial basis required to take the project to a successful conclusion

    5. Consider participating in an innovative project involving development demonstration and piloting of new solutions, processes and products

    6. Make sure to have sufficient time and resources for the project administration
