Edward Scissorhands starts off with an old woman telling a story of how there was a man

called Edward who was found in a scary, haunted uninviting house and was brought back to a

small town full with gossipers and women who liked to know everything. Edward is a robot that

got transformed into a human by hes creator. Unfortunately the reason why Edward hadscissorhands was because he was uncompleted by hes creator who dies of a heart attack

before he could fix Edwards scissorhands in replace with a new one.

Edward lived with the Boggs family. The mom Peg was the founder of Edwards, she was the

one who brought Edwards from the isolated house into the town that she was based in. the

people of the town where impressed of the talent that Edwards had and loved hoe different he

was. Edward could sculpt trees or gardening into something spectacular e.g. he could sculpt

garden trees into a big creature or object. Edward was so talented he became a celebrity and

also fell in love with Kim the daughter of Peg. Unfortunately Edward got into tremendous

amount of trouble which he even went jail for. Even though all of these troubles werent as it

seems, Edward was forced to leave out of the neighborhood even by death they wanted to kill

him.

With love Kim had to lie that Edward was died for the purpose of saving hes life from the

neighborhood killing him. The movie then goes back to the first scene of the old woman who is

in face Kim who was telling the story about the haunted house that was up in the hill.

This movie is a great movie; the theme song just gets you into the movie as soon as it starts

playing. It fits the scene so well it actually brings emotions to the audience giving the feelings for

the character Edwards.

I was wowed as to how Tim Burton isolated the haunted house from the colorful neighborhood

but then it still blending in the environment The movie takes place in an entirely artificial world,where a haunting gothic castle crouches on a mountaintop high above a storybook suburb, a

goofy sitcom neighborhood where all of the houses are shades of pastels and all of the

inhabitants seem to be emotional clones of the Jetsons. (Roger E, 1990)

I also enjoyed the face that an outsider who hasnt been street trained came into this town and

wowed everyone with hes talent Luckily, at his presentation barbecue he proves a hit with his

skill at topiary and general other-worldliness, leading to his acceptance. (Damian C, 1997)

The story is unpredictable, this shows the great work of Tim Burton on how he made the movie

giving out lots of emotions at the end with Edwards being the outcast in the town While the

towns initial reaction to Edwards appearance is shock, curiosity, and even admiration, it quicklyturns into something ugly and Edward becomes an outcast to all but the few people he loves

and who love him in return.(Nate, 2008)
