No Child Left Behind Act of 2001

The No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act was signed into law on January 8, 2002. federal and state initiatives have been put into place to support higher student achievement, stronger public schools and a better-prepared teacher workforce.

 

The overall purpose of the law is to ensure that each child in America is able to meet the high learning standards of the state where he or she lives.
