EduAction is an intercultural education initiative that brings globally minded students and recent university graduates from all over the world to give workshops in educational institutions across Latin America. The EduAction mission: To create a multicultural environment in schools in which young people can explore values that support them in their development as conscientious and engaged citizens who are more culturally sensitive with a broader world vision.
In five years of the project, over 300 international
volunteers have participated,
working in over 250 public schools
in 6 countries, generating positive change
in the lives of more than30,000 young people
across Latin America

This is an important step for our organisation and it will allow us to bring the EduAction methodology to more cities, more countries and most importantly to more young people across Latin America.

International volunteers will facilitate workshops on topics of global importance for young people in NGOs and private schools
Project Aims:Transform the students’ vision of themselves and their future. Explore topics of global importance with young people, helping them to develop as global citizens with a more international outlook. Engage and inspire young people to work together to resolve both local and global problems.

*It is likely that a pair will focus on 2 key themes.
EducAll volunteers will facilitate workshops on 4 different key themes.* Each theme will be explored through 3 workshops.

Global Villages are an opportunity for you to share your culture and traditions and represent your country in Brazil.
You will participate in several Global Villages during your time
in Brazil

You will facilitate intercultural workshops in NGOs and private schools for teenagers between 12 – 17 years old, using Portuguese as
the language of communication
What will I be doing as an EducAll volunteer? What will I be doing as an EducAll volunteer?
Over a period of 8 weeks you will work in pairs to deliver between 8 and 12 workshops per week
You will participate in an EduAction Summit & on-going EducAll training sessions as well other promotional events
such as Global Villages
You will work in more than one school and NGO
Dates: 6th March – 22nd May 2015 Where: Porto Alegre, capital of the southern state of Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul. What is covered by the project?*Accommodation (you will most likely be staying in a host family)Monthly Salary - U$ 70 aprox. (R$ 170 aprox.)
*You must be able to cover personal food, entertainment and travel costs.

What’s the plan?What’s the plan?
1. The EduAction Global Summit will take place from the 6th to the 8th of March in Porto Alegre, Brazil. An event that unites volunteers from both EducAll and EduAction, the summit consists of a various training sessions that will help you adapt to the local culture and prepare you to give workshops.
2. Followed by a 2 week Induction period in you will receive training sessions including an introduction to the project, its methodology and objectives, as well as sessions on cultural adaptation, orientation around the city, and Portuguese classes.
3. Workshops: You will spend the following 8 weeks planning and facilitating workshops in NGOs and private schools in Porto Alegre.
