HISTORY FOR THE FUTURE

• Orange County BOE in California wanted to offer astounding possibilities for education. They wanted something that was flexible, keep records, compatible and portable. They also searched for something which was easy to use, teachers would “catch” on quick and didn’t require massive training sessions on how to use.

• They were able to get their hands on a 5 GB Ipod. After they began to experiment, they realized how important it could be in/outside the classroom. They saw how seamlessly audio could be integrated into the curriculum, the portability and flexibility of the Ipod.
