Edge Blending for large-scale displays… even on Curved ScreensWhat is edge blending? Historically, edge blending was the ‘art’ of blending multiple projectors into a single seamless image. An innovative new software has moved the art into a simple scientific method. Rather than spend hours aligning and calibrating the screens to the naked eye’s perspective, with a few clicks of your mouse, the self-analyzing system can edge-blend and correct image warping on screens of any size or geometry.
Using a revolutionary camera feedback system makes auto-calibration of warping and blending simple and reliable. Seamless, multiple-projector edge blended arrays are displayed in brilliant high-resolution. You can have a factory-fresh calibration every day. Have a project that wants high brightness large screen results? AV reaches into the cloudAt the Starin-BenQ booth WOW showed instant wireless switching between PC and Mac-based presentations via a stream of up to 1080p content.
Besides in room interactivity, that replaces a traditional switcher, scaler, interfaces and even control, the WOW Veos gateway is also a conduit for distant collaboration and remote virtual resources. All securely achieved with 1024 bit encryption. More info at http://cloudavnow.com

Use the 3500 lumen MX-812ST in a rear screen pro-jection application where you have limited behind-the-screen distance to the screen. Or in everyday applications, think of the advantage of having the projector close to the screen with a sharp angle of dispersion down to the screen. The usual long-throw dispersion aims head-on at the presenter or instructor to glare into their eyes. Instead with the MX-812ST, you have the light beamed from above, over the presenter’s head to the screen. For Crestron resellers, the 812ST is ready for Creston® RoomView® Local Area Network (LAN) asset management.
BenQ’s progressive 3D technology is in the MP810ST. With SmoothTransition® there’s seam-less switching between 2D and 3D content. 3D is the latest frontier in education instruction, provid-ing greater illustration of true-to-life experiences. Students can better visualize and therefore com-prehend concepts like geometry, molecular bond formation, anatomy, and history like never before. To apply 3D, you must have BenQ 3D certification training, to be fully supported.

BenQ’s SP870 projector has a powerful 5000 lumen output, that allows a good degree of ambient light without detracting from the view-ing experience. A dark room might be good for watching a movie, but it doesn’t work so well for most occasions where participants need to take notes or read pages. The SP870 is designed for just such situations, rendering a spectacularly vivid and richly colored picture. It’ll shine for large hall screens where you disperse the 5000 lumens over a significant surface area.

Key Digital develops and manufactures high quality, cutting-edge technology solutions for virtually all applications where high quality video imaging is important. The Key Digital product line encompasses a wide range of video distribution devices from video matrix switchers, processors, baluns and DAs.
HDMI Confidence The headache of handshakes creates trepidation among designers and techs in using HDMI for Pro AV installations. Yet, HDMI is quickly shadowing DVI on source and display devices.
Every Key Digital HDMI signal product acts as a buffer with its own chipset to gather EDID information from each display and calculates a down mix to store how to accommodate multiple handshakes at the best resolution. In short, you can have confidence that Key Digital will be a reliable tool in any scenario.

Key Digital Video Signal Distribution
The Hercules series is a powerful building block system that expands from the core 8x8 frame to digital bus linked cores for 16x16, 24x24, 32x32 and 40x40. It’s five matrixes in one, with video, analog audio, digital audio, bi-direction IR and RS-232. Yes, it allows for routing control signals.
Want a distribution-ready matrix? Hercules uses CAT5 outputs to feed the exception-ally robust Smart Baluns that not only carries VGA, RGBHV or component over 1000 feet, you can send the control and audio signals. They’re smart in that they will perform automatic equalization of the video signal.
Hercules Series™
Key Digital supplies a wide range of active and passive baluns for distribution up to 2000 feet. For versatility, the four RCA KD-CAT5XRCA can of course be like component and IR, but also could be composite and stereo audio or any combination of signals. In addition there are HDMI, VGA plus audio baluns and DAs.

Nigel B offers a one-of-the kind solution for dealing with the audio aspect of projector installations. The audio built into projectors is not sufficient for conference/training room applications. The Nigel B solution puts the amplifier on the projector mounting pole. This keeps unbalanced audio lines short, speaker cable runs short and the audio is now controlled from the projector with the built-in projector volume and switching facilities.

Over the Holidays we had a dealer contact us in a panic. He had been working with a church on a very large video install when he realized that they had forgotten to order a video card that was needed to interface with the church’s older AV system. If the church was to have their Holiday service the card needed to be installed that day... the only problem was that Starin was closed. With some quick thinking from the Starin team we were able to open our doors to the dealer. He drove over 500 miles round trip, picked up the card and had it installed. Not only was the dealer grateful but the church had its service on time. This is why I come to work everyday.
